You couldn't have chosen a worse game for starting modding.

How about choosing a title which is built from the groud to support mods?

I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden.

It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai.

So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds

Doom3 is good for that, unless you are specifically talking about something in this genre.

Holowan Tools and Discriptions

Look up KotOR Tool... You will need that to start. If you have Photoshop, that will help as well. After getting those in place, then look into other applications, which are on the tools page at Holowan.

Kotor modding may look a bit intimidating at the beginning but it is accessible to anyone willing to learn :) No need to be a computer geek! Most the the modders at Holowan labs never modded a game before starting to mod Kotor.

It's true that the first steps that can be harder but if you start with a small project , you can familiarize yourself with the tools and the game files and things will get in place. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to look like a n00b, we all have to start somewhere and modders at Holowan labs will he happy to give you a hand and answer any questions you may have :)

BTW, here a little thread I made listing the tools you need according to what you want to do: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=143421
