Volourn Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Lucas is awesome. He has made some damn good movies. He is the reaosn why SW exist, he is the reason why they have been so successful, he is the reason why they have been so good. LONG LIVE LUCAS! DOWN WITH THE WHINERS WHO WHINE YET WILL BUY ANY MOVIE WITH SW IN THE TAGLINE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
GhostofAnakin Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 One half of TESB is loaded with boring and painful love scenes between han and leia and even more boring asteroid chase and snow battle that is really, really bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As opposed to the wonderful scenes between Padme and Anakin? Sorry, but I can take ANY Leia/Han "love scene" over watching Natalie Portman and Hayden Christenson moan and cry like 12 year old kids who think they're in love. He it was, say the wise men of Egypt, who first put men in the colossus, making many freaks of nature at times when the celestial spheres were well aligned. SOCRATES: This I doubt. We are hearing a child's tale.

He is the reaosn why SW exist, he is the reason why they have been so successful, he is the reason why they have been so good. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Then why is the one that is widely almost universaly acknowledged as the best the only movie that didnt have him as screenwriter or director. While George has a vision there are those far more skilled at bringing that vision to life than he is. I have to agree with Volourn. Bioware is pretty much dead now. Volourn Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 "So much coffee will give you an ulcera." Then I have nothing to worry about since I don't drink coffee. "Then why is the one that is widely almost universaly acknowledged as the best the only movie that didnt have him as screenwriter or director. While George has a vision there are those far more skilled at bringing that vision to life than he is." Without George Lucas there would be no SW. George Lucas IS SW. Period. Keep crying about him, and you might as well admit of two things - youa re either a whiner who hates soemthing yet watches it anyways like a little noodlebrain or that SW sucks completely. Once again, for those who do not understand, George Lucas IS SW. Game over. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

I have no doubt at all if he had stepped back the new trilogy would be something really special rather than two dire films and a slightly above average one. I have to agree with Volourn. Sarjahurmaaja. Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 "Starwars - check. Indiana Jones - check. The films where he plays Jack Ryan even when he isnt Jack Ryan - check. what have I missed?" Blade Runner? 9/30 -- NEVER FORGET!

SteveThaiBinh Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 ROTFLMAOATWTKKUYADYTATTITW <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have to ask - I think I get the first eight letters, but what does the rest mean? Though George Lucas is undoubtedly the originator and driving creative force behind the Star Wars universe, the movies would have been better if he had brought in more collaborators to help him with the script, and hired a better director. GhostofAnakin Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 I'd much rather see a SW movie set in a different period. A KOTOR era movie would seem too much like a prequel because I'd feel like even though I won't know the outcome of the specific movies, I know the outcome of the galaxy so to speak, since I'll know that a 1000 years later, Luke and some furry creatures save the day. If you notice, he'll pick something from your post to respond to and ignore the question you're asking. You should have just posted that first sentence and waited for a response before giving him the option of answering sentence 2 or 3. Nur Ab Sal Posted June 1, 2005 Author Posted June 1, 2005 No my post is what reality is George is a mediocre screenwriter director sorry if you dont like that but that is the truth. It's just one I happen to share with the world at large and especially the movie making community. Many , many people respect George for his vision of Star Wars but no one admires him as either a writer or director which tells you everything you need to know. Now your more than welcome to stick your fingers in your ears and continue to claim George is a fantastic writer and director but dont be expected to be taken seriously by anyone who isnt. A. The first is a lost cause, the second, well most people eventually come around when educated sufficiently. http://www.theflatearthsociety.org/forums/ Yet oddly you are not typing that George Lucas is a great screenplay writer/direcor..
