Meshugger Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 Specs: Product name: PLAYSTATION "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Child of Flame Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 What's really funny, is it looks to me to have the same brushed aluminum finish everyone was complaining about when the Xbox 360 pics were first released. Hrm...
Meshugger Posted May 17, 2005 Author Posted May 17, 2005 Exclusives: - Grand Turismo 5 - Devil May Cry 4 - Metal Gear Solid 4 - A new GTA - Killzone 2 "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I hope thats not what it actually looks like. The controller sucks ass. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Child of Flame Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 I hope thats not what it actually looks like. The controller sucks ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, I was just thinking that. The thing looks bigger than the Duke, and the D-Pad looks like it would be a pain to use if you ever had to 'roll' your thumb across it. The shoulder buttons are placed all the way at the top in the middle too, which makes them look awkward to use at best. In brief, looks really cool. Probably more painful on the hands than an original Xbox controller. I'm still dying to see what Nintendo has this round...
Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Also disappointed in the lack of wired controller ports. I do not want to be forced to use wireless controllers. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Apparently these are some of the launch titles: Metal Gear Solid 4 Tekken 6 Gran Turismo 5 Grand Theft Auto 4 Devil May Cry 4 Madden and various other EA sports games Killzone 2 Final Fantasy XIII As someone on another forum said, the only way to describe that launch lineup is Playstatiowned. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Judas Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Not too sure about that boomerang controller...but at least when I freak out and throw my controller at the TV it will come back to me. You know, like boomerang.
Jumjalum Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Not too sure about that boomerang controller...but at least when I freak out and throw my controller at the TV it will come back to me. You know, like boomerang. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think I may have to splash out on one of these next gens at launch instead of jumping on the wagon 2 years after everyone else like I usually do. We now bring you live footage from the World Championship Staring Final.
WITHTEETH Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Did anybody ever own a controller called "SpaceOrb 360" it was perfect for 3d enviroments. 1st person, flying. it was a controller that had buttons on the right side and a ball attached on the left. you grip the entire ball with your left hand and you can move it in any direction. twist pull push left right down up. it gave you better control then the heyboard and mouse. Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 So, who thinks they're going to sell out of the black ones and be left with a whole bunch of leftover white and silver ones? The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Darque Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Most likely the black ones will sell... unless one color becomes the "Fad".
Child of Flame Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 So, who thinks they're going to sell out of the black ones and be left with a whole bunch of leftover white and silver ones? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dunno, I'm kinda partial to the white, or better yet, the brushed aluminum myself. Then again, I'm probably the only person on the face of the Earth who liked the Xbox 360 design. Actually, I liked it more than this. This thing looks like some sort of sexed up technological tortoise to me. Then again, the Xbox 360 looked like a PC Minitower case.
Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 They should have hired PSM to design it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/davsin50/2ea1fa67.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/davsin50/05acb157.jpg The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Child of Flame Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It all makes sense now! Sort of...
Oerwinde Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Something I just noticed... wheres the memory card slot? The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Child of Flame Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Something I just noticed... wheres the memory card slot? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> MYSTARY! I'm guessing it either has to do with the removable HDD mentioned in the specs, or one of the USB 2.0 ports on the back.

I'm guessing it either has to do with the removable HDD mentioned in the specs, or one of the USB 2.0 ports on the back. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but its sposed to be backwards compatible, and the PS1 games can't even save on PS2 memory cards. So there would have to be a port for PS1 memory cards. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Darth Flatus Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Brushed aluminium will sell, all av equipment seems to be in that colour area nowadays so ppl will want to but somehting that matches. this isnt a great pic but you can see some of the ports -have fun trying to guess what they are!!!
