graphics card at max

More memory allows it to store more textures and therefore render faster. But there's no game out there that will try to push more than 256mb

I agree tho the difference in most games seems to be made due to the frequency and not the memory :)

 

Oblivion and G3 seem like 512 MB games :(:thumbsup:"

Come to think of it, given the nature of bump/normal/displacement mapping, Im not shure wether it relies more on GPU clock for realtime lighting or if its Memory heavy to store the textures.. or both.

There's been 512 Meg Graphics Cards on the market for awhile now. However they weren't geared for gaming, but for rendering, not sure where this one's going...

 

<edit> That's a better price tag than I've ever seen on a 512 Meg card though. </edit>
