"Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque

"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)

Okay, this is getting locked soon as a mod gets here.

Twi'lek? I thought they all spoke Huttese in Kotor. In kotor2 the languages werent as interesting - except for quarrenspeak which sounds like vomiting

hmm... Interesting...

Somebody ought to write a book about this... like those with Star Trek...

- Think somebody made a dictionary with klingon...

Its all based on Haitian

People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

Heh. This isn't a board that sees a lot of novel thread ideas.

But to this thread, I give a

Important: as the following sentence contains many naughty words I warn you not to read it under any circumstances; botty, knickers, wee, erogenous zone, psychiatrist, clitoris, stockings, bosom, poetry reading, dentist, fellatio and the department of agriculture.

How can you even tell? The language just sounded like someone making squishing sounds or talking with a mouthful of mashed potatoes.

This almost sounds like Leeloo's divine language in the 5th Element..

Come to think of it, why does the Toydarian (the guy with wings) sound like a character from the Sopranos?

How can you even tell?  The language just sounded like someone making squishing sounds or talking with a mouthful of mashed potatoes.

Yes, the selkatish language consists of 99.9% utter and unintelligible nonsense. The sentence I posted above is the only real form of communication they possess. It translates roughly to "Your hoovercraft is full of eels".

UUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRR!!

Ururur! URRROOOOOREREARN!!

So basicly this Thread is about a lot of people writing alot of random letters claiming that it actually means something...

Well... I smashed my keyboard up once in a state of rage... the letter kombination then looked like some of what you have been writing...

I'd like to add sth:

Twileks in K1 spoke almost the same lines as the Hutts and Elder Rakata.

Rodians spoke similar lines to the primitive Rakata.

Haven't played K2 so much yet so don't know any similarities in their lines.

Does anyone know how they really make up all that alien speech? Is a real language's grammer copied with changed words? Or do they just make stuff up on the go? Anyone know?

How can you even tell?  The language just sounded like someone making squishing sounds or talking with a mouthful of mashed potatoes.

Didn't I hear somewhere that Jawa speak is based on Swahili?

Just curious what VOOTEEDEE means. I think ti means 'Great shot kid , one in a million, now lets steal this droid and get out of here'

I swear in Kotor a lot of the lines were lifted from the Jabba's Palace scene in RotJ. Thats why it sounds more "authentic" to me. Also it is not a real language or based on anything its just funny sounding gibberish.

I'm not sure if jawa lingo is swahili but it definitely was an african language that was sped upand played in reverse

I always thought it was Utiini...

(not that the correct spelling of gibberish really matters in the long run...)

Or

In loppatan sho'tav teev Utiini...

(beyn kosbvat in-estvat mr'gibberish bardo no delom'kas tarfah-la...)
