  1. The patch might possibly be forthcoming, eh? No offense to anybody, but it's too late, the damage is done. I can only speak for myself, of course, but I am less likely to buy or recommend any of Obsidian's games in the future...and for a pretty dumb reason, if you think about it. When this patch is released it's not likely to make much difference. It's not even going to affect gameplay, as I understand it. But Obsidian's communication with the gaming community, on both patches, has been (at best) ham-fisted. Even if the fault of the matter were to lay with Lucasarts, it bespe
  2. Sincere statement: I agree with the last two meatbags, more or less.
  3. Sarcastic statement: You are pretty cool, meatbag.
  4. To be perfectly honest, I haven't finished the game yet. Got about halfway through, had some weird things happen with my companions and decided to quit and wait for the patch. Admittedly, that was some time ago and I, like most people, am impatient. But I don't expect the patch to be a panacea for the game's ills. I just hope it lets me finally turn Handmaiden into a jedi. So, having not finished it I can't comment on the latter half of the game. By all accounts it loses its luster and the story fragments, creating a chain-reaction which will soon destroy the known gaming universe
  5. A lovely rant--and one I largely agree with. I have nothing against OE and demonizing Lucas Arts doesn't achieve anything. However, I'd still like an answer to my previous question. I wasn't asking rhetorically.
  6. If you assume that the majority of KotOR II players (meaning non-whingy, non-forum posting types) would like a third part to the series, who would you suggest do it if not OE? Bioware isn't an option. (nor is Bethesda--less sprawl, more game please next time Bethesda!)
  7. LOL! All I can think of is playing this game with the Lektor instead of new voice acting! (Instead of dubbing on tv we've got a guy called the Lektor who reads all the characters' dialogue in a monotonous voice, no matter if they're male or female. It takes some of the heat out of passionate love scenes, IMHO. And you can still kind of hear the original dialogue, to boot)
  8. Thank you for the update. I shall lurk less agitatedly now.
  9. Bioware, Blizzard, Bethesda...still going. Black Isle folded. Don't know if B for Black Isle gets credit, in this sense.
  10. I'm not usually one to complain, and I'm sorry to put my first post on this thread (hello), but I wanted to add my 2cents to the bucket. I don't see much point in online petitions or starting flame wars over a patch, but there is some point to be made. I played about half the game and I really liked it. Good story, I think, and some interesting characters. Like other people (probably) I had some issues--nothing show stopping, but definitely vexing. So I'm patiently waiting in the hopes that the patch will sort out a few of them. Ce la vie. Mainly I wanted to contribute to the dis
