DSLuke Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 As time marches on and its coming closer and closer to the release date of TSL I think it would be only natural to have a spoiler forum specificaly for PC users. Is there a reason not to have one? And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
Judge Hades Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 I don't think we should because both versions of he game have the same basic story so it would be a waste of resources.
DarthShad Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 (edited) I agree with Hades. The story is the same so therefore there is no need for a spoiler forum. What we should have is Technical Support forum for the PC version. Edit: Spelling Edited January 24, 2005 by DarthShad
NeverwinterKnight Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 unless the pc version has drastically different features/story/added quests, i dont really see the point in two different spoiler forums.
Darth Ni Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 unless the pc version has drastically different features/story/added quests, i dont really see the point in two different spoiler forums. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think any of that stuff will be in the PC version of KotOR 2...
DarthShad Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 Yeah...but I don't think they will add new quest/locations. It wouldn't be fair to the Xboxers, specially considering that KotOR 2 doesn't support XBox live.

Phosphor Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 We're talking over what to do with the boards for the PC release now, so it is very much on the agenda to get things ready. Whether we do a Spoilers forum for the PC or not remains to be seen.
DSLuke Posted January 25, 2005 Author Posted January 25, 2005 I thought it would be better to have a new spoiler forum as the PC users are new to the game, so we will share the excitment of the first few hours. Also it will be much easier to find a topic.. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
DarthShad Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 That's a good point. The spoiler forum is way too big now. Finding something might take hours...
Judge Hades Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Still, I don't think it is worth it. It would be nice if the Obsidian team makes their own version of the Live team and finish the broken quests so they will be fully done after the game's release. I for one don't really care if it is unfair the the X-Boxers.
jaguars4ever Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 I hope Obsidian doesn't equate the lack of XBOX live support with a proposed lack of PC patches.
Judge Hades Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 They better not. They better support this game and patch it when necessary. We don't need another Troika.
Darth Ni Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 We'll, we had 3 updates for KotOR 1. I'm assuming that we will have 2 or 3 patches for KotOR 2 aswell. Unless ofcourse LucasArts changes their PC Gamer support strategy...

Laozi Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Should there be a redundantcy forum for forums that would be redundant? People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

Besides, they've got some of the best folks in the field working for them. Anyways, in the end its LucasArts who decides to release the patches and things like that.
DarthLightsaber Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Your in luck we have one called the spoiler foum.

Hydrogen Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Personally, I'm in favor of a seperate fora for PC spoilers and and for XBox spoilers. My reasoning is that (although people will post in the wrong place anyway), for those times when key strokes/buttons are needed, it will get really frustrating when people are talking different systems. -- just like with troubleshooting. However, for the reasons mentioned above, I think that keeping the storyline fora a joint effort is more than acceptable.
DSLuke Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 At least some others see reason too. And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
