Blind Ninja X Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Darth Nihilus (I think his name was) was easy. Darth Sion was easy. Darth Treya was easy. No, I take it back. My character was too powerful. At the end of the game, at my final save, this is my character: Jedi Sentinel 15 / Jedi Watchman 11 Str 16, Dex 29, Con 18, Int 19, Wis 31, Cha 18 Vitality 363, Force 511, Defense 46 Fort 20, Ref 26, Will 25 And here are my two lightsabers: Violet (Total Damage, after modifiers, 21-58 and total attack bonus +36) Damage 12-40 energy, +3 light side, +1-10 cold Attack +2 Defense +2 Dex +3, Str +3, Wis +4, Cha +2 25% to Stun for 6 seconds at DC14 Cyan (Total damage, after modifers, 16-53 and total attack bonus +36) Damage 12-40 energy, +1-10 cold Attack +2 Defense +2 Cha +2 Wis +2 And my other equipment: Ossus Keeper Robe (Def +1, Cha +2, Int +4, Wis +4, Con +3, Regeneration +3) Circlet of Saresh (Wis +5) Marcus Artorius's Armband (Con +1) Jal Shey Meditation Gloves (Dex +2, Wis +2) Alacrity Implant (Ref +1, Dex +2) Tech Specialist Belt (Dex +2, Str +1) Significant Powers and Feats: Force Enlightenment, Stasis Field, Force Storm, Force Wave Master Two-Weapon Fighting, Master Flurry, Lightsaber Specialization/Finesse, Improved Toughness, Regenerate Force Points and Vitality Then after finishing the game, I thought to myself, "Is there any logical reason to use a double sided lightsaber or a single lightsaber instead of two regular sized lightsabers?" The dueling feat gives you a +3 to to defense while my two lightsabers, together, gave me +8 (including Dex and Wis modifers). If I used my best lightsaber and the dueling feat, I'd have the same defense but would do a lot less damage. My character was groovy. Too bad the end wasn't more difficult.
Bokishi Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Quiet a few found the game easy, even if their PC's level was lesser than yours. Looks like you spent the majority of your game "building up." Current 3DMark
Dark_Consular Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 It seems as if I was the only one who had trouble with Darth Treya and those 3 blasted light sabers...
Bastilla_Skywalker Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 ok then if nilihis and sion were easy why are they sith lords then? Press Teh Button
Mole Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Nihilus - easy Sion - easy, had minor trouble Treya - had moderate trouble, took me 4 attempts... The last attempt, I injected myself with stimulants and defensive force powers. I was suprised at how easy Nihilus was, being that he was made such a mysterious and secretive character. Sion was easier than he should have been, but I remember being like, "Aww crap!" when he revived himself again and again. Treya gave me some trouble, but she ended up being easier to defeat than Malak in the first game. I had a pretty cool Jedi... I can't remember all the stats exactly, but I had: Light Side (Light Mastery +3 STR) Level 10 Jedi Guardian Level 17 Jedi Weapon Master 1x Viridian lightsaber, Optima crystal, and that red cystal you get toward the end that adds +3 to wisdom and regeneration... Did 8-36 damage. Ossus Keeper Robe exactly like Blind Ninja's character's armband Mandalorian Power Shield Belt of Saresh Circlet of Saresh Gammorean Power Gauntlets forget what implant mostly strength and wisdom I think there will definitely be a KOTOR III. They should have given the main character a name so that they might mention whether or not he/she goes to where Revan went to fight the Sith.
Blind Ninja X Posted December 19, 2004 Author Posted December 19, 2004 I actually didn't spend ANY time building up. I just played the game and did as many side quests as I could. I tried to give my character as many stat boosting items as I could (as you can tell). On my next run through, I'm not sure if I want to play female or play dark side or both.
Darth Desann Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 I was never brought below 1/2 life at any point in the game...never below 80% after prestige class was aquired. My Guy: LS Mastery...Lvl17 Gaurdian/10 Jedi Master Unmodified Stats (without equipment) STR:20 DEX:14 CON:11 INT:10 WIS:18 CHA:15 Modified (via equipment) Stats STR:27 DEX:17 CON:14 INT: 14 WIS:32 CHA:19 VITALITY: 309 FORCE:549 DEFENSE:39 Lightsaber (single violet): Damage: 29-66(without any powerups...force or stim) (12-40Energy, +5vs Darkside, +2LS, +1-10cold, 25% Chance slow on hit, Defense +1, Dex+3,Str +2, Wis+4, Cha+2) Mods: Player Crystal Crystal Pontite (+2 Cha, +1-10cold) Ultimate Diatium Energy Cell (+5 Energy Dmg) Expert Fencing Emitter (+3 Energy dmg, +2Defense) Improved Vibration Lens (Attack -1, +2-12 Energy Dmg, Defense-1) Equipment: Circlet of Saresh (+5 Wis) Ossus Keeper Robe (Def +1, Saves:reflex +1, Stealth +4, Cha+2, Int+4, Con+3, Regeneration +3) (modified with Armorply Plating mk.II AND Biorestorative Underlay mk.V) Dominator Gauntlets (+5 Str) 2 Verpine Prototype Shields Jal Shey belt (+1 Wis, Force Resist +14) Important Powers: Offensive: F. Storm, Insanity, F.Wave, F.Confusion, Adv. Throw Defensive/Powerups: M. Heal, M.Speed, M.Battle Meditation, F. Enlightement, F. Armor, Inspire FollowersIII (Saber Dmg up to 36-73, +46attack, after powerups with force) Important Feats: M. Dueling, M.Flurry, Lightsaber Specialization,M. Jedi Defense, M.Force Jump, Regen FP. Reason I used DS powers (F. Storm and Insanity) is I like the offensive power of F. Storm (I would regularly do ~96dmg...and could do upwards of 108) and Insanity for some reason works more effectively than stasis field (for some reason, more people seemed to save against stasis field, which I also had...maybe I was imagining things " ) But with High Charisma, the powers of the opposing alignment actually cost less than they normally would for someone without high Charisma...besides...with 549 FP, it wasnt really taking anything out of my FP...I could have done F.Storm or Insanity like 50 times and would still have some power left. I loved this guy...Gaurdian/J.Master/Sithlord probably the perfect blend of saber/force you can get...very potent.
Darth Rellim Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Level 10 Jedi GuardianLevel 17 Jedi Weapon Master <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Huh? you can't get a prestige class until level 15 . . .
Brannart Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Darth Nihilus was definitly a let down. I was really nervous going in to face him after he had been built up as Death itself. I think it was because I had all three party members against just him. I had Visas heal while I hacked away. No problem. The whole game actually suffered from being just a bit underbalanced. I always felt if it was just a bit harder it would achieve a good balance. Sion and Traya were hard but I didn't break a sweat or anything. I just used Force Immunity/Life Support Pack/Master Fury until they went down. I noticed they did not use Force Breach which would have made it more difficult.
