GarethCarrots Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 *shaft that is conveniently fatal if fallen down*
ShadowFaxIV Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Cause Wedge got into the Death Star Core. Palp was a crappy Meditationist. -There is no Light or Dark. There is only Power, and those to weak to seek it! -Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life. -I find no joy in taking the life of someone that finds no value in it. -If you only get out of life what you put into it,why not just keep it all to begin with and save a whole lot of waisted time and effort?
Ivan the Terrible Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 because George Lucas decided the good guys should win (like usual) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes, but I would think that would be a reason to make explanations for why the Empire lost, not how they had yet another advantage (in addition to catching the Rebels in a trap, outnumbering them, having an entire legion of 'crack troops' facing off against care bears with sticks and rocks, and having a fully operational Death Star blasting ships to bits) and yet still managed to get spanked. Didn't the Admiral Thrawn series give an explanation for why the Empire lost at Endor? Something about force-draining creatures or whatever? I seem to recall something about it, but it's been too long. I made this half-pony half-monkey monster to please you But I get the feeling that you don't like it What's with all the screaming? You like monkeys, you like ponies Maybe you don't like monsters so much Maybe I used too many monkeys Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you?
GarethCarrots Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 no he didnt! the 'ysalamiri' were not present at endor, if they were the emperor would not of been able to use his lightning, nd the luke vader duel wouldnt of been quite so spectacular (if it can be called that)
DSLuke Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 It was spectacular back in 1983 And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
GarethCarrots Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 thats another thing that bugs me slightly, the stories in the originals were admittedly amazing, but with todays technology they could of been better, and its like tow different things when watching an original then a sequel, bummer really
ShadowFaxIV Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Ysilmiri were an awkward addition to the SW universe. I won't say they were stupid... but awkward -There is no Light or Dark. Carth Vader Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 This may have already been said but maybe Palpatine acts the way a real sith should act and every other sith is acting unsith like. The movies did come first after all.
Laozi Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Well thats a very generious way to put it People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.

ShadowFaxIV Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Darth Palp is so far the most successful Sith. That doesn't mean he couldn't have done better. -There is no Light or Dark. Carth Vader Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I just think using the EU to explain stuff that happenes in the films is a bad idea. I am biased though because I think EU means Entirely Useless.
Baneblade Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 Darth Palp is so far the most successful Sith. That doesn't mean he couldn't have done better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> aren't we forgetting certain Marka Ragnos ? "If at first you don't succeed... So much for skydiving." - Henry Youngman.

That doesn't mean he couldn't have done better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> aren't we forgetting certain Marka Ragnos ? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah yes we are, he was more successful. But I didn't get the evil vibe as badly from him. -There is no Light or Dark. There is only Power, and those to weak to seek it! -Build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. GarethCarrots Posted October 15, 2004 Author Posted October 15, 2004 i dont think eu characters can be compared to film characters, and film characters cant be compared to game characters etc etc
ShadowFaxIV Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 i dont think eu characters can be compared to film characters, and film characters cant be compared to game characters etc etc <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whatever floats your boat. It's all in the Star Wars Universe to me, so it's all good for comparrison -There is no Light or Dark. DSLuke Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I was comparing a book character with a game character.... And by the light of the moon He prays for their beauty not doom
Jad'en Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 BTW, In EPIII You will see Palpatine get down and dirty with his saber and force powers....he plays a little role in the jedi purge. And he doesnt fight luke with a saber cos he is a good 150 years old lol.
