OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 The only yoda-like specie that should be in the game should be Vandar, that's it...I severely doubt there will be any more, and hope that there won't be...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 But how would Vandar be in the next game, if it's possible to kill him? IMO Vandar was a crappy yodalike. Meh. I really hope there's more...
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Adding another yoda-like person would dilute the image of yoda, plus, since the Order is in a bad situation, where do you think someone would find them, Dxun? Dagobah? I think some people, myself included, would find that too much of a copy of the trilogy...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 No no, not in Dagobah... just maybe in a fight against a sith lord or something on a planet where you wouldn't normally find a yodalike.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Oh yeah it would be so awesome, making them add a useless fight animation, wow so cool! <_<
icebox15 Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Does anybody actually know the name of the species or their native planet?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 No, it's all a mystery...but most people refer to them as whills, even though people say that that's wrong...
icebox15 Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 No, it's all a mystery...but most people refer to them as whills, even though people say that that's wrong... Whyis it assumed that all of them have to be jedi's?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 They may be naturally force-sensitive, and the only ones I've heard of are Yoda, Yaddle, and Vandar...all jedi...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 Well OldSchool, didn't you think the Yoda-Dooku fight was cool?
Judge Hades Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 I didn't think it was cool. It looked damn stupid to me.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Never heard of yaddle. She is in the new trilogy, specifically number one... Well OldSchool, didn't you think the Yoda-Dooku fight was cool? I found it one of the redeeming qualities of that movie; I honestly walked out of the theatre going, "Sh!t dude, that was cool!" But this is a different thing...Why is he there? Why is he fighting a Sith Lord? What is the point of the fight? Why is he fighting in the front door, instead of going through the back? I also believe that that would "overstretch credibility" as someone else put it...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 Well I didn't mean a pointless fight. One that actually has a part in the story of course.
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Okay, give me a good premise, and a good reason... Â But, not flaming or anything, I think that your love for a yoda-like fight exceeds your want for a nice credible story...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 Story? Devs can take care of that. Â I donno maybe hes a Jedi master and he was traveling and the sith attacked his ship? And he was the only survivor and the sith lord boarded his ship so the little yodadood had to defend himself?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted July 8, 2004 Posted July 8, 2004 Vandar was enough...OE doesn't need to be tarnishing Yoda's image by whoring it out, know what I mean? Anyway, I think Obsidian won't do it...
Ixion Posted July 8, 2004 Author Posted July 8, 2004 Then how about making Vandar come back in the second game, and fight. to show he is not a complete loser.
Ixion Posted July 9, 2004 Author Posted July 9, 2004 What the hell ever. I just want a cool yoda species in the damn game.
icebox15 Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 What the hell ever. I just want a cool yoda species in the damn game. Agrees
