Bantha Fodder Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 It would be cool to join factions from around the galaxy, like the Bounty Hunters Guild and do jobs for them. If you help a certain faction you become freindlier with it, but may become an enemy with another.
EnderAndrew Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Spellmar says: Factions Fractions are a mathematical representation of a quotient such as 1/2. Overall, I think this is a good idea. I enjoyed the Geohardan Bounty Hunter quest even though it was a bit straight-forward. I'd like to see more quests the involve multiple locations. The Geohardan quest also turned out to be a sham, but the idea of having these factions to join was nice if only as a brief illusion.
jaguars4ever Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Fractions? Do you want any remainders with that dumbass? :D

The Geohardan thingy was good but I Really wanted to be a LS character so i did'nt do the mssions.

Tigranes Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 psst, there's a 1 in your extended corsican family of exclamation marks. reminds me of torment factions.. though i hope they (unlike bg strongholds) rise above "do 2-3 quests, end" Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Bantha Fodder Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 psst, there's a 1 in your extended corsican family of exclamation marks. What does my exclamation marks have to do with Napoleon's birthplace????? (or his people)
sniggy Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 i doubt that a jedi might be a bounty hunter, though it shouldn't pose a problem to dark jedi or sith. It's very hard to be polite if you're a cat.
Bantha Fodder Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 i doubt that a jedi might be a bounty hunter, though it shouldn't pose a problem to dark jedi or sith. Why can't sith kill for money???
sniggy Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 i said that it SHOULD NOT pose a problem for a sith... ...meaning sith bounty hunter is ok. It's very hard to be polite if you're a cat.

The Genohardan guild provided some pretty sweet escapades for us Dark Siders, and I hope to see some sort of parallel to this in TSL. But what pf our poor goody-two-shoe Light Sider's? Surely they need to get in on some fraction fun too! ( That one's for you, Bantha Fodder ) I suggest something like Save-a-Pet for them.
guns1inger Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Does anybody really give a rat's ass what spellmar has to say anyway?
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Does anybody really give a rat's ass what spellmar has to say anyway? Spellmar in his infinite wisdom and intelligence says: Spellmar And yes...yes we do...
guns1inger Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Right....right..... ALL HAIL SPELLMAR THE ALL POWERFUL AND ALL KNOWING!!!!!!!!!
OLD SKOOL WHEELMAN Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Right....right..... ALL HAIL SPELLMAR THE ALL POWERFUL AND ALL KNOWING!!!!!!!!! You are not getting off that easy! Build a statue! BUILD IT!
Bantha Fodder Posted June 8, 2004 Author Posted June 8, 2004 Mabey you could trade Commodities between planets.
guns1inger Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 (Just finished my statue to the almighty Spellmar.... I just hope its enough. don't want to feel the wrath of Spellmar!!!!) It would be cool to join with some Mandalorian Raiders and help them slaughter local settlers.

I played a LS character who finished maxed on LS points, though I did get like 3 or 4 DS points during game-play. I killed Bendak, and and did the Geohardan quest.

EnderAndrew Posted June 9, 2004 Posted June 9, 2004 If you do all the side-quests, you max on LS or DS points well before the Star Forge. Heck, I did it by the end of the Leviathan I think. So a couple LS or DS points won't deter you from playing completely one-sided.

So a couple LS or DS points won't deter you from playing completely one-sided. But if you are already quite dark you are awarded more LS points for doing something good and fewer DS points for doing something bad. Visa versa for light. If you are going to do some of each it is best to do it early on while you are still about neutral. Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
Bantha Fodder Posted June 11, 2004 Author Posted June 11, 2004 I think you have to gain something like 20 dark side point when your on the top of the scale to go neutral.
