CentiSouls Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 Some of us have already blocked the haze from coming back with gum, but judging by the color of the gum, it is BUBBLE gum. What if the gas inside the canister pushes on the gum so much it starts forming a massive bubble, and over a few in game days, that bubble pops and brings the haze back, but you can close it again. Maybe everytime the haze bubble pops, it spreads a tiny bit farther, which would spread to the oak tree and pond and hedge soon, because right now, there isn't really an explanation of how the haze got to the oak tree without a trail. 1
Nicholas Berstecher Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 There are 6 locations I found so far the the Haze expanded to, and while the idea is cool of the Weed Killer expanding every time it pop the bubble, that might make people annoyed or not do it in th first place. 1
Johnny Wirick Posted November 6, 2021 Posted November 6, 2021 the yard was dangerous enough before the fungus and infected insects could spread. i don't know if having the haze spreading too would be a good thing. and i'm not totally sure about this, but i think turning off the haze is part of the overall story of the game. 1
Zigpocalypse Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 I like the Haze being gone permanently after you plug it. Why would we want an extra chore of having to go re-plug a hole? Re-plugging a hole doesn't add any fun to the game for me. 1
ScritchOwl Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Reread the in-game notes so far. The haze is a multipurpose weed killer)fungicide. The haze has nothing to do with the fungus and critters other than it's attempting to stop the spread of the fungus. When you turn off the gas you remove the only thing stopping the fungus. In all honesty the whole yard needs to be tested and heat treaded to the soil below 30cm or 1 foot reaches 52°c or 125°f. Heck wouldn't be surprised if something similar is gonna be endgame especially since the watcher went to the quarantined labs. Include scene of burgle falling into chems with terminator soundtrack giving a spatula up. If you see light at the end of the tunnel get out of the road!

Yaycub Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 What do you guys think about using the weed killers spout to fill up ant eggs like a bratburst, creating a weed killer smoke bomb that you can use to remove the exploding fungus spores/insects?
Nicholas Berstecher Posted November 13, 2021 Posted November 13, 2021 (edited) I am convinced that curing the Haze is Act 2 of the story. I mean Act 1 and Full Completable Story are 2 separate things on the feature board; I think Act 1 is us figuring out what happened, restoring power, the backstory to Grounded. It just my theory based on the 0.11 update, it just a wait and see. Edited November 13, 2021 by Nicholas Berstecher

I have haze fungus inside the oak tree where the wolf spiders sleep and some all the way by the hedge.
