December 17, 20205 yr I was looking for news for a PoE3 and found this speech from 1981 instead: https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/bruce-r-mcconkie/three-pillars-eternity/ "The three pillars of eternity, the three events, preeminent and transcendent above all others, are the creation, the fall, and the atonement. These three are the foundations upon which all things rest. Without any one of them all things would lose their purpose and meaning, and the plans and designs of Deity would come to naught." I think Eothas is aware, so I thought I'd share.
December 18, 20205 yr This was interesting in the sense that I never knew the term "pillars of eternity" was around before this game. Did you people know this? Would be nice to hear! My ignorance is probably explained by the fact that most of the religious knowledge I have is not in English. That is, I have not read the Bible or other religious works in that language.
December 18, 20205 yr In the early days of the game, sometimes when I googled about "Pillars of Eternity" some weird stuff came up. The results sounded like esoterical nonsense mostly so I didn't bother looking further into it. What really annoyed me though is that when I googled "PoE" only Path of Exile results were shown. December 21, 20205 yr Yes, everyone knows the bible without reading it and what pillars of eternity means in a vague sense. Most pretentious boards ive ever seen.

December 22, 20205 yr Honestly, as a BYU speech, the link above probably has much more in common with the New Vegas: Honest Hearts DLC than anything Pillars.
December 25, 20205 yr Author I was kinda making PoE, PoE2, and (the) PoE3 (of my dreams) analogous with creation, fall, and atonement. It was working for me at the time with the "purpose and meaning...would come to naught" given Eothas' designs for disruption.
