yeah maybe...  If they ever bring in taming and from the sounds of it in the interview it's not something coming any time soon.

Joining the #NoTaming team.

I think part of the magic of Grounded's world is that the world itself is alien to us, and the feeling of danger, even of it is just the potential of it is part of the atmosphere.

I strongly feel that taming, at least of anything larger than an Aphid or Gnat would subtract from the setting.

I'm also joining the #NoTaming team. Taming would have beneficial effects, but also would ruin the survival aspect of this game. And not only that, imagine u ride a spider, or other big bug and suddenly u have a colony of ants coming at ya coz they see u as a threat. Imagine the lag it will create.

So I thought perhaps a great way to bring taming to grounded is to make a cricket fiddle you acquire cricket legs and form some sort of instrument to tame other insects.

there's going to be taming its going to be in the next few up dates here hers a link what's going to be updated :https://grounded.obsidian.net/feature-board

there's nothing in there that talks about taming.  Most of the taming requests were for riding insects and having spiders follow you like puppies.  Why create rumors?

All it says is pet aphids, they could be tamed to be pets i guess.  but it doesn't list specifics, so who knows.  And i doubt they'll be able to do much, other than follow you around and annoy you with their little chirps.

Well, I think taming is a dumb idea, this ain't Pokemon

~ ALL ~ OF ~ THIS ~

I don't play ARK ... cause I think it's dumb
If this becomes Tiny Ark in the Backyard ....

Either there will be an option to turn off taming ...
or I'll quickly get bored with a game suddenly turned boring, and leave ...

If the Difficulty Curve of the game goes from the Terror of your first spider encounter ...
to ... Riding a Wolf Spider while screaming ~ I OWN THE WORLD ~ ... in 2 easy steps ...

That's not fun .... or a game I'll continue playing.

As it is right now ... I love it ... I LOVE IT 💗
I don't need it to get more difficult, it has a good balance right now.
I will enjoy and love more content, new areas, and will continue loving more content and new areas for as long as Obsidian continues releasing such.

But ~ The Day that Grounded becomes "Yet Another" cutesy pet game,
where you just make your pets go do everything for you ...
That ... is The Day that I walk out the door.

Obsidian, I love what you are doing! .. Please keep doing it.
Just PLEASE don't turn this into a Taming Game.
Grounded is a Beautiful Gem, Rare and Fragile.
It needs polishing ... not cutting.
