Darion Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 [The Sith were an] ancient race of insect-like humanoids was characterized by its dark, red skin, cranial horns, and long bony chins. . . . Remember Darth Maul at Episode 1:THe PHantom Menace? Well wasn't he a partially human Sith, hegot red and black skin and tiny horns around his face. MAybe his old-old granpa was an insectoid Sith??
Meshugger Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 They were a buggy bony insectoid species. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Maria Caliban Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Meshugger: You wish. You've nailed it. There's nothing like the idea of someone getting off on human/insect porn to get my juices flowing. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
EnderAndrew Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 I'm beginning to wonder if it's "safe" to surf this site at work.
Maria Caliban Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 You shouldn't be surfing at work anyway. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
EnderAndrew Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 I work a graveyard shift in an IT department for a casino. I have little to no work to do most days. I'm like the fire-department. I sit around and wait for emergencies. When the floor goes down, or something goes wrong, I have to fix it immediately. In the mean time, I sit around with a T1 connection waiting to be used.
Maria Caliban Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 That sounds so much better than my job. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
EnderAndrew Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 The pay isn't phenomenal, but the benefits are. I'm getting two weeks paid vacation my first year here, free life insurance, really cheap medical, and free meals in an employee buffet. It's rough. And I don't really do any work 85% of the time.
Maria Caliban Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Oh, now you're just rubbing it in. That's mean. I hope you get a rash or your leg gets numb from sitting in the same spot for too long. That's it, you think you have a good job right now but wait until the capillaries in your legs atrophy THEN we'll see who's laughing. "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
EnderAndrew Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 The last person slept on the job and looked up pornography. It took them a year or so to catch them, and fire them. I was recommended for the job by a good friend/ex-girlfriend. I get up and walk the floor every two hours or so. Right now I'm working on a problem with our SDS/RS6000 server. I still switch windows and type messages over here.
Maria Caliban Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 What's wrong with it? "When is this out. I can't wait to play it so I can talk at length about how bad it is." - Gorgon.
Nartwak Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Good stuff Well, good deal you've got there! That guy was a fool!

EnderAndrew Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 RECOMMEND ME!!! Entry level IT = 25k to start. It's not great pay. Tech levels II and III are better, but that requires a boatload of knowledge. Harrah's Casinos They've got like 27 casinos around the country, and they're building a dozen in England. Apply online.

Those buffets are good. Lucky bastard. The guy who was wanking on the job was a f***ing idiot...or retarded...or both.
Chris Avellone Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 The "Sith" Revan leads in K1 seem to be composed of corrupted members of the Republic that follow the teachings of the Sith - like Karath and the fallen Jedi that Revan led into war; there's no indication that Revan contacted the Sith Empire, only that he came across their teachings and chose to follow them. How he was able to corrupt so many Republic officers and soldiers so quickly is probably because he/she is a total badass with a 25 Charisma, and because most of them became loyal to him/her in the Mandalorian War. Probably. Chris
EnderAndrew Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 Bioware gave you the tools and let you make your own game. I get that. However, have you asked their development team about certain takes or what they were trying to accomplish to establish continuity with the first game?

However, have you asked their development team about certain takes or what they were trying to accomplish to establish continuity with the first game? Not really - most of our questions for Bioware have been technical ones. K2 builds upon the events of K1, but it doesn't follow any paths or arcs that Bioware laid out in K1.
EnderAndrew Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I doubt I'll get an answer, but I have to ask. I know you're likely doing a new IP next. However, do you think you have another KOTOR story in you after TSL? Is there groundwork laid for another sequel? Do you anticipate KOTOR 3 going to yet another developer to accomdate another quick release while Obsidian works on their next project? And thanks for your other answers.
