I usually just barge in, knockdown and throw out a blessing from Xoti, missiles from Aloth, leave Serafen to do whatever he wants.

 

What are some interesting spell/ability combinations? or SYNERGIES!

Most of the synergies are simply noticing what defenses powerful attacks/spells target, and applying debuffs to those defenses first.  E.g., use the Morning Star modal to apply a -25 FORT debuff, then use a FORT-targeting ability like Knockdown or Stunning Blow. 

Combusting Wounds plus AOE triggers for it (Chill Fog, Wall of Fire) plus beam spell(s) on the key target of it.  Face melting.  I killed most bosses in the game with some combo of this.

Arkemyr’s Wondrous Torment and/or Miasma of Dull Mindedness and any ability that causes a status effect. Lower resolve equals longer lasting status effects.

Miasma Of Dull Mindedness is definitely an underrated spell. I get a lot of mileage out of that early on. 

I always use it. One of the best spells in the game for me.

Or anything that has multiple bounces. Mind Blades + Combusting Wounds are my go-to for most difficult encounters.

Mine is Combusting Wounds + Minor Missiles. With high PL it's so reliable (auto-hit) and you'll have so many projectiles. You only have to debuff fortitude once for the CW to hit. THe rest is "I don't care".

 

I mean besides the obvious Wall of Flames and stuff.

 

This just doesn't work very well on enemies with very high burn DR.

Helwalker/Ascendant multiclass.  The two go together like peas in a pod.  

 

Here's a simple combo:

 

Teleport Eder into enemy back line.

 

Have your cipher cast Echoplastic Echoes on Eder.  Spam mindblades when ascended.  

 

Watch things die.
