Floating Hangman reactivity to other quests

I am at crossroad  to choose  1 of the allies   or go alone. My thinking is    to   take Floating Hangman(so i wont need to buy a  new ship ,right? )   and go alone!  But, is it possible?  Does aquiring Floating Hangman  sign me up     with Principi?

Not necessarily. I'm pretty sure you can get the Floating Hangman and leave the Principi quest uncompleted. Take the boat and don't report back to Aldeys or Furrante.

Yes, take the ship and go. With all the drinks you accumulated during the game. The Principi will expect a party that will never come.

You are sided with the Principi once you report back after getting the ghost ship. Never report back, never have to side with anyone!
