giftmefood Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 I want to write so people can't see what I write unless they hover over it. How do I make what I write covered in black so people can't see it unless they hover on it? Silent Winter Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 (edited) use the code at the beginning of what you post, then put the same code with a / at the end like this [/spoiler (only close off the square brackets) (It's not a hover on this board, but a clickable thing that'll expand the spoiler text) Edit: sorry - not clear - I meant put the '/' before the last 'spoiler' (as above) Edited June 17, 2018 by Silent Winter 2 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *Casts Nature's Terror* , *Casts Firebug* , *Casts Rot-Skulls* , *Casts Garden of Life* *Spirit-shifts to cat form*

InsaneCommander Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 Or you could just post what you want to on the spoiler labeled forums and not have to worry about tagging it No, please! I like to check some threads there and it's nice when people use spoiler tags. Not that I'll blame anyone who doesn't, of course.
Yonjuro Posted June 17, 2018 Posted June 17, 2018 In addition to writing the spoiler tag yourself, you can also find the blue button at the top of the editor. It's the top line, third from the left, blue button. If you hover over it, it has the tool tip "Special BBCode". Click the button and select "spoiler" from the menu. It will give you an edit field to enter your text and add the spoiler tags for you. It is a little more time consuming than just adding the tag yourself but it has the advantage that it won't accidentally put the slash in the wrong place nor will it forget how to type the tag when you haven't done it for 6 months (though, that may be a moot point if you forget where the button is in six months, but hey, what are you gonna do?). If I had access to the forum code, I would probably replace the other blue button, the 'twitter' button, with a dedicated spoiler button, but YMMV.

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
