M4xw0lf Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) So, upon our second meeting with Eothas (Hasongo), he says something along the lines of 'I still have need of your soul, but I can give up this small part'. After the end of the conversation I went to my character sheet excitedly and found... absolutely nothing. I thought that at this point the watcher should regain some of the PoE1 quest reward abilities like the boon from the blood pool, scale breaker, Llengrath's boon, etc... Was I just unlucky that none of the things my Pillars 1 save contained is qualified for restoration in Deadfire? What abilities did you get? Edited May 21, 2018 by M4xw0lf
Zeitzbach Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 IIRC it just upgrades one of your watcher ability. I think the terrify scream gets upgraded to also give you a buff on cast. 1
Sceptenar Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 As far as I can remember, there are two points in the main story where you regain parts of your soul, the second being a larger piece which grants you things like "gift from the machine" if you had it before. 1
M4xw0lf Posted May 21, 2018 Author Posted May 21, 2018 Ah, so I was just too impatient, I guess. Thanks for your replies.
Tommy1984 Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 After Hasango you should get "Gift of the Machine" and "Effigy's Resentment" (blood pool bonus) ... this is what I got. I'm not sure if you can get all the other bonuses later.

prototype00 Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 (edited) I had Gift from the Machine too and I didn’t receive it back at Hasongo. Not sure where that went. Edited May 22, 2018 by prototype00
soraela Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Has anyone chose not to take that part back? The fact that they added the extra narrative to make it sound like your soul became someone else sounded foreboding
Tarlonniel Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 I've tried to reject it, but the game just overrides the choice.

fortuntek Posted May 22, 2018 Posted May 22, 2018 Yeah I've seen nothing but conflicting information about where/when you regain what abilities. I'm assuming you gain them no matter what but perhaps it's possible to miss them through dialogue options?
M4xw0lf Posted May 22, 2018 Author Posted May 22, 2018 After completing the game, I don't seem to have regained any PoE1 abilities. Shame. 1
Mad Miranda Posted May 26, 2018 Posted May 26, 2018 I played PoE I again just to get all the talents as the developers said this would be the only thing importing besides quest choices. Between this and the bugs on importing, I`m feeling kind of betrayed. Do veterans get no love?

Only the horrible persons among us get nice things, those who go around sacrificing companions and feeding lost souls to themselves.

No wonder I don't get anything Btw, did anyone save your crate during Prologue? What you get?
