{BUG} Error: * Missing String 66 *

When speaking to WETO (when you first approach) and his sister and he are arguing about the longhouse - and if you side with the sister ("She has a point") and then side with her again ("The hauana [sp] should forge their own path.") - if you click on WETO again, he speaks - but above his head it says * Missing String 66 * (and down in the combat/action box it says "WETO - *Missing String 66*)

Hello all,

 

Thank you for bringing it up, even if it is only happening to some and not all . Ill get it updated and see if we can get it to happen for us in house as well.

Heh - this still happens (even after I've moved on and do other things - like did several other quests and came back).

This is an interesting bug, probably means there is a typo in one of the string files.

You're not using any mods which alter stringtables are you? If not, it's probably a typo in the originals.

Not at all. I am not even sure how to set up mods in the game. This was a straight install from GoG.

 

If the devs wanted, I could provide one of my save games, so that they can tear it apart.

I can do that when I get home. It's odd that I have zero issues though (no crashing or anything) - game actually runs flawlessly, other than one of the times I clicked on an abandoned ship at the same time another ship engaged me in combat. The game gave me everything from the ship, but then when I was done - it went to what is the normal combat scene (when the two ships are next to each other) - but there was no ship there next to mine.

File integrity confirmed. It's all good. But that error still appears.
