  1. Problem 1 is that it is an HP. :D Problem 2 is that it probably has crappy integrated graphics. KOTOR will not run something so powerless unless you run it at 640x480.
  2. Dude just download the lastest Nvidia drivers, its has been FIXED. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_84.21.html
  3. FINALLY! KOTOR 1 and KOTOR II issues are solved with NVIDIA's latest 84.12 beta driver (direct from NVIDIA's "Nzone" site) Here they are! Enjoy!
  4. Well I posted in the Bioware forums and it looks like BIOWARE themselves have contacted NVIDIA regarding this issue! WOOT! http://swforums.bioware.com/viewtopic.html...466285&forum=80
  5. Dear Obsidian: We need your help. Regular users like us cannot submit bug reports to NIVIDA. The 80 series drivers have broken KOTOR for those of us with Athlon X2 Dual Core Processors and Intel Pentium D Processors. The game is unplayable because of NVIDIA's dual core optimizations and can only be fixed by using registry hacks. Who at Obsidian can contact NVIDIA to help fix this issue in a future driver release? Please help. Thank you!
  6. http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1299 These might fix KOTOR games.
  7. Does binding the games to one CPU work? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it does not, this is an NVIDIA driver issue that needs to be fixed.

  9. alt+tabbing will fix the blank screen, but it doesn't fix the 100% CPU usage with dual core, which is the cause for the stuttering. the game just wasn't programmed properly, as i've tried much older games that have no problem with the dual core. obviously, something in the way they coded it was done in such a way as to cause problems, and most likely, it cannot be fixed. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually it is a NVIDIA driver issue. Check the NV forums. This issue is caused by the release 80 Drivers with the Dual Core Optimizations in them. I am using the latest 81.89 and the problem is stil there. If you go back to release 70 drivers the issue disappears. We need NVIIDA to fix this.
  10. Just got a X2 3800+ and I see some studdering but also blank screens. Alt-tabbing from Windows back to KOTOR seems to fix the problem.
