  1. As for him being on Taris... If someone could enlighten me, that would be great. I honestly have no idea.

It's really not *that* important to the overall game.

It can be assumed (or you can draw your own conclusions) that Atton was just drifting from system to system after he left the Sith trying to either atone, or forget the terrible things he had done.

He probably ended up on Peragus when he hitched a ride on one of the Telos frieghters that were making a fuel run. He probably figured this would be the best place to loose himself and be anonymous as most people who work in these kinds of jobs aren't anyone "special" and its much easier to keep a low profile when you're in the middle of "nowhere" far from the Core worlds and a lot of human/alien contact overall.

I think he probably ended up in the cell because he started fighting with someone. Remember, he is like the Han Solo of the game. Tough, resourceful and not afraid of a good fight if push comes to shove...

Or, he knew of Coorta's plan to sell the Exile to the Exchange and sided with the Administrators and tried to stop him (trying to atone for his past deeds) -- Which could have also lead to a fight with Coorta that would have landed Atton in jail if he started it. I am making this assumption based on Atton's "confession" where he says the female Jedi might have saved him so he could return the favor some day and save the Exile.

  2. I think there are a couple of issues going on here:

    1) The game is imbalanced. I think a good 90% of the gamers here will attest to that.

However, what is interesting is the way it is percieved as imbalanced.

For example, most of the complaints are it is too easy. I agree with this to a point. Others say the game actually is to hard at parts when it shouldn't be. I also agree with this as well. For example, the Kinrath in the Crystal Caves ALWAYS save. Now, maybe their spieces is supposed to be immune to Force Powers because they live in the Cave. Okay, I can accept that.

However, there will be other times when you are fighting what should be low-level creatures and opponents whom you should be easily able to wipe the floor with if you are properly leveling up the attributes of your characters according to the type (class) of player you are using... And it takes forever (I've experienced times when my character(s) will miss 4 out of 5 hits even if they have high Dex and high Strength and a ton of item modifiers).

I think this is just a case of the game being rushed and not QA tested for balance (vs. glitches and bugs).

    2) As far as the Conselor class...

The whole idea is that you can use your Force Powers (aka Magic) to keep your opponents from ever laying a finger on you.... At least, in theory.

Where this falls apart of course, is during the actual game wher five guys with Vibroblades are ganging up on you and you have low Dex and Strength, but high Wis and Char. Well... They ARE going to "hack you up" a lot quicker because the hit modifiers for their Dex and Strength are much higher, making you easier to hit and do damage on.

However, again, the whole point of being a Force Master is to supposedly stop them from even getting the chance to start whailing on you by using Force Wave, Kill, Drain, etc.

So, my point in all of this?

If you are going to be a Conselor, don't always rely on your FP.

Put some points into Dex so you are harder to hit. Add that with item modifiers and hopefully good Constitution and Treat Injury (and Force Heal if LS) and you should do fine than just concentrating soley on Wis and Char which I think a lot of Conselor players do in my opinion.

  3. The key to turning your NPCs into Jedi (light or dark) is that not only do you have to gain influence with them... But you also have to go through specific sequences with them in a particular order.

(This really makes the game linear in one sense; This is why if you plan on making certain party members Jedi you should PLAN AHEAD for your next play through and this includes the order of the planets you plan to travel to as well).

Here are a couple of things that really help:

    1) The order of the planets you travel to.

I usually do (after Telos) Nar Shadda, Dantooine, Duxn/Ondoron, Korriban and back to Duxn/Onderon when you are waiting for the message from Mandalore.

The reason I do Nar Shadda first is because this is basically the focual point of the game from a design and story stand point. It has the most sidequests and is where you get almost your entire party more or less, regardless of what side you play.

Nar Shadda gives you either Mira (LS) or Hanharr (DS); Goto and possibly HK-47 if you have all of his parts before you leave. It also has sidequests that are worth 1000 XP per quest if you complete them correctly (DS or LS). This is also where you can learn Atton's secret and turn him into a Jedi.

Visas also shows up here to (she shows up no matter where you go the second time you return to the Ebon Hawk; I just figure pick her up here and then use her to help free the Exile on Goto's yacht by giving her the "destroy droid" Force Power which comes in really handy on that level considering it is nothing but droids, turrets and mines).

It is also where you can gain a lot of influence for Bao-Dur. Specifically, the Refugee camp when you (if you choose) heal the sick man at the entrance. This is "critical" Influence device for Boa-Dur... As well as having him check your work once you repair the landspeeder at the Sorocco Gang landing pad (two vital Influence shots with Bao-Dur in ONE planet! Just do Dantooine next and you've gained enough influence to turn him).

Also... If you are thinking you should go to Dantooine first to get your lightsaber crystals and other parts... The game is setup to just "give" you your lightsaber by the end of whatever planet you travel to first after Telos; it doesn't matter which one. This is done via the radom gifts that some sidequest NPCs give you as rewards, I.E. Lootra will give you lightsaber parts if you reunite him with his wife; if you already have a lightsaber, he'll give you some other random item(s) instead. This is another reason to do Nar Shadda first because of the amount of sidequests that you can do that increase your chances of having your lightsaber built before you even leave the planet.

    2) When you create your main PC (Player Character)... Start them with an INT (Intelligence) of 16, no matter what class and or side you are going to play. Also, whenever you level-up, put points into Persuade and Awareness FIRST before any other skills. Max these out into the teens as the game progresses.

You want to do this because strageically, TSL differs from KOTOR in that the game scripts read your actual levels (and modifiers) of your attributes and skills like Awareness, Repair, etc. that open up dialogues that you normally would not be able to access if you aren't at certain levels.

It is a blessing and a curse because most players aren't going to know this their first play through and won't be strategically thinking like this... And it also makes the game more restrictive in that you can't create a totally "unique" character because you have to be constantly "powergaming" the Influence, attributes and skills system the game uses as well if you want to have the game experience the devs intend you to have (with all the backstories available as well as other things).

These are the only two, main things that I just had to learn and read about in various FAQs/Walkthrus as well as playing the game a couple of times (not even all the way through) to know to do that will give you a better gaming expeience as a whole.

  4. I think the biggest thing this film has going for it is the darker, more adult theme.

Most of the original SW fans... Myself included... Are in fact in our 30s and 40s now. We are adults and want adult stories. Episode I and II just aren't those stories.

On the same token, the biggest thing III has going against it is the stink of I and II.

Even die-hard SW fans are now weary of what Lucas has cooked up because of how bad I and II really are (in terms of just stand-alone stories and part of a larger saga).

So, it will be interesting to see how well this film is recieved from SW fans who were burned with I and II as well as how the general, non-SW movie going public reacts as well. Critics will probably pan it... They did the first two and rightfully so... But this time, I am going to take whatever they say with a grain of salt even more than I did with the first two because I think what will happen is there will be those who jump on the "let's bash Episode III bandwagon because it makes us "cool" camp", there will be those who are indifferent, and there will of course be the fanboys/girls who think anything GL creates is pure gold (like I and II).

I'm going to go into it with a neutral stance (as I do with most movies regardless), but moreso with this one because at this point, I *am* a little skeptical given how marketing loves to hype movies like this into things they aren't and were never meant to be to a lot of extent as well.

  5. O.o

I don't quite follow what you are saying here.  30 FPS is 30 FPS, and I don't know how interlacing would make 30 FPS seem "smoother" on a TV screen than on a PC Monitor.  They are both CRT screens and whatnot.  However, I could see how interlacing would allow for better performance, since they would not need to render every line (if the GPU is designed that way....which I do not think the X-Box's nVidia GPU is).  Also, identical games running on TV and PC Monitor tend to look better on TV, since televisions have a "naturalish" anti-aliasing (perhaps due to the interlacing??).

A TV screen and a monitor are both CRTs... But a monitor always has more pixels compared to a TV screen. A standard NTSC TV screen has a limited resolution of 640x480 whereas we know CRT monitors can go upwards of 1600x1200 or more.

So, actually, if you put your video card output through a TV screen, it will look LESS sharp and blurry -- no matter what you set it to from your PC; it will just get smaller and not crisper -- If you do a side-by-side comparison because TV screens don't have as many lines as a standard CRT monitor like I said above (I'm leaving LCDs out of this discussion because they are irrelevant).

The other big difference is that a TV screen has motion blur whereas a PC monitor does not. This is what interlacing essentially is. TV screens redraw every other frame and your mind fills in the ones in-between; PC monitors must draw every single frame at a consistent pace (60+ FPS) and if they don't your mind percieves the "gaps" and the image appears jerky.... Especially, if they drop below 30 which is the bare minimum we percieve as fluid motion.

    Also...

The XBox uses what is called Renderware and an Excalibur integrated video processor (equivalent to a Geforce 2) that is specifically designed for interlaced video (compared to most PC graphics cards) and that is why most console games look much smoother and play better if they are properly coded because they don't have the problem of having to render more than they are capable of (30 FPS). A few console games have tried to up this to 60 FPS to get better resolutions, but as I said, it is a waste of time on TV -- Even HDTVS -- Because of the FPS "cap" that NTCS TVs have in them (PAL is the same way with the refresh rate just bing 59 Hz and not 60 Hz).

  6. Theorhetically... You should actually be getting better performance on an ATI card than an Nvidia card. Especially, if you have a 9xxx and up and not a FX Nivida card.

    Why?

Yes. ATI's OGL drivers aren't that great... But a lot of the effects and shaders... Like the gases on Peragus and dynamic and diffuse lighting (energy shields, lightsbaber effects)... Are using a DX9 warper and ATI does better in DX9 shader effects than Nvidia.

The basic problem is that the engine is literally using two API renders (D3D for effects and lighting; OGL for everything else) and ATI has problems with OGL due to its poor driver support.

This is why in Peragus mines (particle and shader effects) you won't get any real slow downs with an ATI card... But will on the Dantooine planes because of the VBO error in the code (VBO caches objects in the video cards memory, thus speeding up rendering things; this version of the Aurua engine has an error where this does not happen on ATI cards due to their architecture and hence, why you get massive slow downs without the DVBO command in the swkotor2.ini).

The solution to all of this?

Obsidian has to optimize the engine and take care of the VBO error as well as just optimize how the code is read to speed things up. They did this with the original KOTOR after three patches for most people... Even those with ATI cards like myself who can run it maxed out and it be smooth as silk... So, we just have to wait patiently until they release this coming patch and hope they took their time to really get what needs to be fixed for a more stable gaming experience.

  7. I think the KOTOR games are on par with the ORINGAL intended vision... The Original Trilogy... That George Lucas started with... In that they are grand adventures that don't take themselves too seriously (KOTOR at least; TSL is another story)...

And are ten times better than the prequels... RotS not withstanding as we haven't seen it yet, but I am not holding my breath regardless of the cool trailer that just premiered.

  8. Tastihus

Welcome to the many gamers who have been disappointed by the game's endings.

For the record: THE STORY WAS NOT LEFT OPEN ENDED FOR A SEQUEL IN TERMS OF WRAPPING UP WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOUR NPC COMPANIONS in THIS game (maybe with Revan, yes, but not with your NPCs like Goto and the Remote standoff).

That is a result of Lucas Arts (LA) rushing the game by four months. There is actually evidence (cut scenes; unused dialogue; etc.) on the discs that everything that you did in this game had a reason and was actually for something and that the story actually makes senses... But it was all left out because the devs had to make an early ship date for the XBox.

Search the Forums and you will find out the *TRUE* story of what was supposed to happen and you will either weep or get angry that this game was shipped in an unfinished state.

  9. As mentioned, there is a TON of content that had to be cut that actually finishes this game in every sense of the word.

As for replaying the game its *current* state...

Create a character (M/FM; LS/DS doesn't matter) with high INT (Intelligence) at around 16 from the start. Also, every time you level-up, put points into Persuade and Awareness before anything else.

Most of the hidden backstory is triggered by Awareness, Persuade and Intelligence (as well as INT being a modifer for other skills) and I gurantee you'll get a better, more fleshed out... As fleshed out as an incomplete game can be... Experience.

Those not worth gaining influence with because their subplots were literally cut out:

All of the droids, more or less: HK, Goto and T3.

You won't miss anything if you don't even bring these guys along (you really have no incentive in this version to even rebuild HK-47 if not just to have his musings about "love" and other sarcastic comments to break up the brooding atmosphere of the game).

T3 has a Holovid regarding Revan/Bastila... But again, this kind of screws with the story MORE than helps it in my opinion depending on what side you play.

  10. Some side-quests and thier outcomes through out the game depend heavily on some of your skills and attributes.

This is a blessing and a curse as some have pointed out.

As a good rule of thumb...

Have INT (Intelligence) at around 15-16 when you create your character. Then concentrate on Awareness and Persuade each time you level up (no matter what class). Always put points in these Skills first and keep them high.

You'd be surprised how much of the actual "hidden" story comes out with these skills maxed and how much you can actually avoid conflict (if LS) if these skills are maxed.

Like I said, it is cool if you know this... And I learned it from a Walkthru and just playing the game a few times... But also detracts greatly from the game if you don't know these little tricks and it will cause a player to miss half of what is going on when they run through the game the first time... And this may leave a bad taste in their mouth after that to not want to replay the game again (LS/DS) as it appears to be doing with a lot of people.

  11. I apologize if this has been brought up before...

But I think the big problem with the current game is the fact that OE was forced to cut a lot of the more meaty, character-driven stuff (the cut endings) that would have given this game closure to where even if the Exile's fate is to either go off in search of Revan and or stay and try and rebuild the Jedi Order (or something like that)...

I don't think fans would have minded as much because this story -- TSL -- Would have been CLOSED -- Key element -- With regard to the story IT was trying to tell.

This is what is compounding the difficulty and disappointment (and continuity) as far as TSL itself is concerned because the Exile's choices at the end ARE COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT given everything that was cut that would have wrapped up TSL's self-contained story as well as the Exile's interaction with his/her NPCs since the game is just not finished in the truest sense of the word.

    ===

As far as how to proceed from here...

I'd like to kind of see a "The Last Samurai"... "The Last Jedi" story where you either start out as a Jedi... Or even just a dock worker or something and you are in fact working with a company/faction that is persecuting another spieces and you slowly realize you've been on the wrong side and in the process learn (or perhaps relearn if there are no Jedis left) the ways of the Jedi and eventually turn on who you've been siding with and fight them.

This story could work for Darkside players as well in that your main goal is to basically take over the faction you start working for as well as either enslave or destroy the spieces you are already persecuting.

It may not seem as "grand" as a SW adventure in that you aren't saving the galaxy... Or destroying it... But this could easily be avoided (for marketing purposes) by making whomever you are persecuting/helping be some vital speices of Force Sensatives that posses some kind of power that both DS and LS powers need, hence, the stakes are higher because of this (like in TSL, if Telos falls the rest is the domino effect).

    I don't know.

That's just my take on it and it avoids trying to build on the Revan storyline... But actually could be worked into it somehow because like I said, this is a self-contained story, with the larger backdrop of Revan and the Exile and what he/she has already done to a point it could be acknowledged via Holo vids (news reports) and other immersive devices that are triggered depending on how you set the game up in the first parts like TSL does with the Atton conversation.

  12. I keep hearing the same rumor that LA thinks (thought) that releasing TSL around the time Revenge of the Sith wouldn't be a "smart" move?

Are they smoking Spice or what?!

That is the PERFECT move for a game like this. Especially, with TSL's more RotS-like storyline and darker themes. That would have been pure SYNERGY (as corny as that sounds) with one feeding the other and vice versa.

Instead, they are going to release a crappy RTS game that is going to join the long line of mediocre movie tie-in games... Let alone that continue the same, dismal performance (sales wise) as games like "Galactic Battlegrounds" did.

I think this is just a case of pure ego.

They knew OE could deliver somethnig that makes whatever in-house game LA is working on look like complete sh*t (that it will be anyway), so they figure they'll not only rake in Christmas sales, but also get their competiton out of the way in one fell swoop. That really is Darkside Mastery!

    ===

Also, not to run this into the ground, but as I said in another thread, the reason I am so vocal about the things I don't like about this game is that I actually DO like the game and see so much potential in it.

I know that sounds odd... But it's really not if you think about it.

If I didn't like the game... I wouldn't post about it (right or wrong). I'd simply move on to something else. For example, I hate Counter-Strike and don't play it... Yet I don't go to the forums and moan and wail about why I don't like it because it would be useless and a complete waste of time.

I voice my concerns and criticisms here because there is the slight possibility that LA and OE know they screwed up and we might get some kind of content-patch in the near future (aside from technical patches).

  13. Or simply that Obisidian cheated with the attributes of you foes

Kreia has 60 of wisdom in the final Battle. O_o

You are more right than you know.

Check the PC Techical Help Forum for a thread called "Traya is Cheating on Us" and it demonstrates this with an actual screen shot of the combat rolls.

I've asked a Modder about this (Chibajoe) and he doesn't think it is a problem... And it isn't for 90% of the game -- A Counselor/Mage can wipe the floor with opponents with WIS and CHAR at 14 or above... But this is because they are all low-level opponents...

Except the Kinrath in the Crystal Cave and the end Boss battles at the Trayus Academy where using Force Powers is almost useless unless you have Force Crush (DS) or Fore Lighting (LS) because the AI saves almost every other offensive force power making them useless.

  14. There a lot of reasons this engine doesn't run well, even on high end systems:

    1) It is the pre-patched version of the engine that KOTOR uses (that is patched to 1.03). Most development is like this if using a third party engine. They get the version before any major patches as those patches might conflict with the new game design and new additions... Which is why a patch for TSL is going to be different from a patch for KOTOR and any "expansion" for that matter.

On a simlar note, it also means that the engine has not been properly optimized. So, as someone said, it is the coding that is slowing it down as well as it is not as efficient as the patched versions for obvious reasons.

    2) It uses OpenGL as its renderer.

OpenGL is a very good API... But ATI has never been strong in this in terms of its driver support hence, slower performance. So, the problems are compounded on ATI cards compared to Nvidia in this area alone.

    3) We wouldn't notice these slow downs as much if we were playing on a TV (like XBox) instead of our PC monitors. PC monitors have higher bandwith (resolutions) and require more FPS (60 FPS) to produce a fluid image because they are not interlaced like a TV screen.

I have the XBox version and while it does slow to a chug in some areas (Peragus)... That is due mainly to the XBox's limited 1999 era PC components more than anything else.

However, I can run across the plains of Dantooine on the XBox and it looks uber smooth on the TV... But that it is because NTSC TV screens are limited to 30 FPS for full motion. Compare that to a PC monitor that needs at least 60 FPS (more IS better) to produce fluid motion and if the game is struggling to maintain 60 FPS from the start, you are going to notice it more easily than you would on a TV screen for the reasons I stated above.

  15. but Ati just updated OpenGL to comply with the OpenGL2.0 spec since the previous specs from Ati were OpenGL 1.42 even Nvidia had a more modern version OpenGL 1.50.

and the Nvidia beta drivers also now fully support OpenGL2.0.

the 9800Pro only supports OpenGL2.0 since now the drivers are updated to this version.

Ati just put OpenGL 2.0 support on their boxes before OpenGL 2.0 spec was finished and..

older drivers still don't have OpenGL2.0

All ATI did was add a few parameters, namely the multiple-sum-verticies (or something like that). There is NO difference between OGL 1.4, 1.5 and 2.0 except the version number.

  16. Question: The whole 'Remote' sequence w/the computer consoles. What was that about? I mean, they show Goto holding him hostage, but that's it. No conclusion to that little scenario. I didn't pick the dialogue option w/Keira that said "I could blow up this place" or whatever...is that why? If I had, would I have seen a cutscene that showed poor little Remotes fate?

This was part of the sequences that were cut due to LA rushing the game.

What is supposed to happen is that HK-47 bursts in, kicks Gotos ass and he and the remote detonate the Shadow Generator, thereby destroying Malachor V if you were a LS player. If you were a DS player, Goto wins and I don't know what happens to HK-47 (they either fight and or HK just goes along with "the fat one" because HK isn't exactly a shining beacn of morality).

The big problem with this sequence is that it DEPENDS on the Droid Planet/Factory subquest that HK even mentions (about being jealous of the new HK models) where you and your party go to where all the assassin droids are being made and blow it up and or free HK-47 from Goto's grip.

The other semi-cut subplot involving Goto itself is that Goto really IS Goto (the robot is Goto; there is no "man behind the curtain"). He/It was the droid intelligence that the Ithorians originally commissioned to help them restore Telos and that mysteriously vanished.

(See how everything ties together and why cutting out a lot of the stuff leaves huge, massive gaps in story logic?!)

The only major complaint I have about the end game is the fact that after building an entire party, crafting their stuff etc, you're alone for a long time at the end. The very very end I can see, Master & Pupil mano-o-mano or whatever...but all entire?

Bah. But I still want to play it a few more times...I'll just skip the whole end-planet/asteroid/whatever etc.

Again, the "end game" was supposed to be another shift in perspective in that once the Ebon Hawk crashed, your NPC party was supposed to get back together (after Mira fighting Hanharr to end their subplot) and either go kill Kriea for Revenge (DS), or go and rescue the Exile (LS). They also think the Exile is dead as well and there is a lot of emotional scenes that flesh out the characters and give them tons of depth.

Also, the theme of sacrifice -- that Kriea warned you about -- Comes to fruition when Atton is captured and tortured by Scion and a few other NPCs also die trying to save you or enact revenge.

Ultimately, I think Atris was supposed to be the final boss once you either save (LS) or kill (DS) Kriea as Atris is the next/new Darth Traya.

    ===

What irks me is this actually IS a cool story... But it is completely butchered to the point that what we have is nothing more than a hack-and-slash game towards the end where all of the payoff of investing time in your NPC party would have paid off and this ending completely blows KOTOR I's out of the water, LS or DS.

  17. on dantooine, between the bridge and the exit to the area where the scavangers are is an area where frame rates drop down to single digits.

This is an engine error with regard to Vertex Buffer Objects. It affects ATI cards more readily than Nvidia because of the architecture of the ATI chipsets.

    Some users have said:

Put "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" under the Graphics Options in swkotor2.ini helps solve this problem. Some say it does not.

Others have said use different Catalyst drivers from 4.11 all the way to 5.2 (or just the atioglxx.dll).

In reality, it is a multi-faceted problem that has to do with inferior ATI OpenGL support (drivers), the engine itself and possibly other factors that may or may not have to do with particular hardware setups.

  18. Another cheap way to kill the twins:

Run to the opposite side of the cafe (opposite the actual bar) to the far wall and stand behind the lone patron. You can do the same thing as behind the bar and that is toss grenades and use power shots to kill them easy, 1-2-3.

    Yeah, it's cheap...

But to be honest... I also thought this part of the story was ridiculous and was just an attempt at drawing out this portion of the event chain longer than it needed to be.

I haven't had the "One sister fights the other" glitch yet and probably never will. It sounds hysterical though. Damn...

  19. I would very much appreciate it if your search was not only for 4 Jedi Masters but also for 2 or 3 Jedi Knights. How about that?!

Then we'd be even more upset than we are now considering that there is no way that could have made it into the game anyway and we'd have more cut-content going unused.

The real thing that upsets me and I think a lot of people on this board... Die-hard OE, SW and RPG fans alike... Is that this game shows so much potential... SO MUCH... Yet it may never be realized becuase none of the cut-content will ever be completed by OE because I seriously doubt LA is going to authorize restoring the content that actually finishes the game since LA has essentially made their money on both the XBox and PC versions and "what's done is done".

Releasing an unfinished game is the worst thing a developer and publisher can do in my humble opinion... Because bugs can be patched and eventually fixed if a buggy game is released whereas you can't just magically complete an unfinished game if the content and funds aren't there to begin with.

What really hit this aspect home for me is when one of the previous posters said they have little desire to replay the game more than the initial time... Not because of the storyline... But because you have the unfortunate insight to know that none of your efforts of influencing and leveling up your character and NPCs goes anywhere if we get right down to it.

And the "it's not the destination, it's the journey" is very weak justification for what LA did to this project.

An RPG's main goal IS the destination no matter how people try and spin it in my opinion. A weak ending (or no ending in this case) negates a destination and invalidates everything that came befor it... The very reason why we play RPGs to begin with.

  20. There is a bug in the XBox version where you can put two duplicate crystals into one saber (and they "stack" in terms of the damage, but not actual defense since it only takes the higher of the two mods).

Check Dan Simpson's FAQ/Walkthru at Gamespot.com for details.

I don't know if this exists in the PC version as I haven't tried it, but I might do it just to see if it works or not :)

  21. Edit: it seems theses brand new drivers are now supporting OpenGL 2.0. Maybe a big increase in OpenGL game performance?

Still the lackluster, slow OGL compared to Nvidia. OGL 2.0 specs have been in ATI cards since the 9800. Now idea why they are touting this as some big, revolutionary feature.

    Also...

It is partially Bioware's fault and ATI's fault regarding the engine. There is a error in the code regarding Vertex Buffer Ojects and it effects ATI cards more than Nvidia due to ATI's architecture.

  22. Thanks for the quick reply :D

One last issue and I will stop bothering you...

Would it be possible to decrease the amount of Saves the AI gets whenever you use an offensive force power like Push, or Stun?

I don't expect every single time you use these powers to work... But it seems, from my perspective, it makes investing in these kinds of powers useless in the game's current state because 9 times out of 10 the AI saves... Whereas in KOTOR I it seemed more balanced to me.

    Maybe it is just me...

  23. One last note and I'll go away :geek: : This isn't really ment to be an "insane" mod, so while the battles are significantly harder than with the regular game, a combat oriented character (guardian/maurader for instance) will still be able to pound through the game without too much trouble.  If anybody wants me to make a "I am a Sith chew toy" build, just ask. :D

Would it be possible to put the level cap back on the game and not it effect the Prestige classes?

I just think it is "overkill" on the devs part to be able to go up to level 30 (or beyond) when the game is relatively easy enough if you know how to properly build and level-up your characters.
