  1. Right. I'm pretty unhyped at the moment. They should release it already, almost 3 years in the pipe is enough for a Polish action rpg. No matter how genre-redefining.
  2. It's Kaftan, that's his thing. Don't bother to take that seriously, Morgy.
  3. Yes. I think someone said the game starts by you having to fight an orc the first thing you do. Might be a rumour but it is certain that the hero is a powerful guy right from the start in Gothic 3. You will add perks to become more powerful, on top of the normal strength/dexterity advances. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For all I care, they could just make regular wildlife(like rats and wolves and bloodflys and stuff) give minimun exp, so little that it's not worth killing'em. In previous Gothic games I frequently went to the forests just to kill snappers and wolves for a couple of hours before advancing a chapter. That's not really my idea of fun and it's defintely not roleplaying. However, if the beasties are an obstacle on the way to loot/nifty dungeons then I'm all for it. I realise that the adventurous feel of Gothic is one of it's major selling points(along with the bath tub scene), but they could really tighten the gameplay by losing some of the worthless exp hunt forest bits by making visiting them not worth your time. Hunting for fur and teeth is an exception of course.
  4. Wasn't the idea that you start out as a relatively powerful force and most of the stat development comes from joining the guilds and factions, not from hackn'slash as in the previous games? Minimum grinding, so to say.
  5. "I suppose outright stupidity and complete lack of taste could also be considered points of view. " )
  6. Woah, from under whence rock didst thou crawleth from? It's been a while since you've been online DSM.
  7. Ehmm, it takes like five minutes to load a save from before the choice and then take the Kue-Jin ending. Don't you want to see as much of the good content the game has to offer as possible?
  8. Official, omgtastic, site: http://www.dow-darkcrusade.com/main.php?region=UK
  9. Heh, I actually was supposed to post this at the games last played-thread, but it got sorta mixed and ended here. For what it's worth, the demo is probably really cool, but these school computers don't let me unpack zips. Not even with winzip. So, it's four weeks till I can play any games, then? Sweet.
  10. I'd kill for Tyranids or the Horus Heresy, but Tau and Necron along with Grey Knights(supposedly Space Marines are more fleshed out in this expansion) will do for the time. I respect the devs for their reason to not butcher the variety and moddability of Tau with the DoW engine. Supposedly they wouldn't d them because the engine couldn't do them justice. Awww , that's real love for your works.
  11. 78% of the WH40k: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade demo downloaded. Damn, I have to play this through this night, since these computahs don't save information after boot.
  12. The Tau, men. The Tau! I for one am all sorts of giddy for this game and I have no doubt that some of you are just as. http://www.gamershell.com/download_15306.shtml
  13. Warren Zevon- Werewolves of London Thanks Drabs, good stuff. Edit:And now it's Nas feat. Pete Rock - The world is yours Smooth, fluid and nice flow. Thanks Baleyman.
  14. That would seriously suck if it's true. I mean, talk about ruining a good setting.
  15. Yeah, I'll propably buy Gothic 3 after NWN 2. Hee, not a long post.
  16. What was your opinion of Thief 3, I'm planning on going back to it sometime soon just cos I want to play the Shalebridge Cradle mission for massive freakoutage. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a good game, but, don't get me wrong I'm still a massive fan of the game, it's gameplay just didn't stand up to it's predecessors, or even the later Splinter Cells. The story is great, their sticking to canon is impressive and the storyflow is awesome, music is beyond compare since they had Eric Brosius on board and the art direction is rich and beautiful, but the game itself is meh. I just couldn't play it like Thief 1 and 2. It wasn't even near as fluid and organic as the gameplay of those two masterpieces. And I really missed the huge open levels of them. Thief 3 just felt like a bad console port, no matter how much they had raped the Flesh engine to use shadows and their superior AI and sound system. A real pity that, but what can you do. It would have been interesting to see Ion Storm's iteration of Thief 4, since they had concept art ready and that was some good stuff, but alas IS is gone now.
  17. Artistic freedom. And he was properly pretty flabbergasted by the meeting of his nemesis.
  18. Haha, yeah. just check Jean's(along with all her incarnations and Madelyn) bio at that site. It's just off-the-wall absurd.
  19. Link me with something decent, my cds are absent here and it's really hard to just come up with something to listen on a school computer. Edit: Almost forgot. Please.
  20. Katakuri-re no k
  21. And if they'd fight with spears overhand and not in phalanx.
