Chris Avellone at Gamespot
Grifman replied to Mad_Scientist's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Avellone says he wouldn't do another Empire Strikes Back ending because of fan complaints. Well, I like Avellone's work, but he needs to get a clue: It wasn't the Empire Strikes Back (ESB) ending that people hated, it was the totally screwed up, futzzed, truncated ending that they hated: 1) The Ebonhawk falls to its apparent destruction then magically appears at the end to fly away our hero 2) There is an unresolved confrontation between GOTO and T3 3) Mira appears magically, fights Hanharr, then magically disappears 4) Though you hear about the future of your comrades through Kreia, you see nothing of them at the end - they just disappear, presumably in the disappearing/appearing Ebonhawk It's clear that the game was rushed out with all these loose ends through looking at the files that were left behind when completion of the ending was stopped. Based upon what I've read, had the planned ending been carried out - a confrontation of your comrades vs. Kreia, the opportunity to redeem Kreia, and the possible death of some comrades who sacrifice themselves for you - people would have been raving about the end. Instead we got a badly unedited, truncated ending that made little if any sense. That's what people are complaining about - we didn't get an ESB ending, we got a WTF ending. -
Sorry, that's not scientific. I theorize that there are invisible pink fairies all around us who vaporize upon death and leave no evidence. Is that a valid theory until proven wrong?

No, Mira's faster, you can do that in one conversation.

BUG - % damage blockers don't work
Grifman replied to Camp Freddie's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes, don't know if it works for other items but it does work for energy. I was taking a fair amount of damage in Trayas Academy until I added an underlay that gave 30% protection and a visor with another 15%, all from energy attacks. -
KOTOR2: Hottest Female Character

Somehow I think the lip gloss problem pales with that of handling a lightsaber against a Sith Lord in combat while blind, don't you think? -
KOTOR2: Hottest Female Character
Grifman replied to Topaz Quasar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
To bad that fact that Visas alone of the women refuses to wear the dancers outfit is fatal to your theory. So much for submissiveness. -
It's not going to get any easier with Mira later because the game levels up your enemies as you do. So a later Mira faces tougher enemies. Sorry, no gain there.
-
Uh, well, you do have this force bond thing going on, where if she dies you die. Don't you think that might be a good reason to keep her around, whether you like her or not? It might be worth trying to keep her alive, don't you think? And one reason to try and find the masters is to see if there is a way to sever the bond - then you could dump her if you want.
-
Duh, so exactly how was Obsidian to know you killed her? Did you email in your savegame and expect them to develop the game around what you did in KOTOR?
-
No, the Jedi did not take her force powers. It was Nihlius and Sion who stripped her of her powers, forced various "indignities" upon her, and cast her out. You see all of this in the cutscene,
-
Atris also says that when she learned of your return to Republic space, she put out the word that you were back, made sure certain others knew of your return.
-
Well, I don't know what is going on. I have no, nsda, zero computer spikes and T3 won't make any for me. And I just sold all I had to make some bucks, thinking I'd get him to replace them. Anyone have any idea what is going on? I can always buy some back for now, but this is going to get expensive I think, and it custs off a source of ready cash. Help! Thanks. Grifman

Unfinished quest on Telos
Grifman replied to Thelemecus Rhade's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Talking to Gren is necessary but won't do it alone. You can't have agreed to assist the Ithorians when you see the criminals in the Czerka office. If you start working with the Iths before going to Czerka and seeing them, they never show up. It's a bugged quest if you do things out of order unfortunately. -
Cant answer, wrong forum You should look up Mandalore in the spoiler forum for his full story <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for putting a spoiler in your title.
