  1. Cheater Way: Do damage, save, load, repeat. My Not-so-cheater Way: At the very start of the combat, run past the three handmaidens in front of you into one of the corners so that they can only attack you from the front. This also helps because usually only two of them can attack you at once this way. Hopefully you have a decent supply of melee shields. Throw them up, attack, and repeat. They'll do enough damage to you that one shield charge will last probably only two rounds. To be on the safe side just reuse the shield after every one of your attacks until there are only two handmaidens left.
  2. Weird. The Force was clearly flowing through me, giving that Handmaiden response seconds before Flyboi acutally posted his question specifically about her.
  3. Handmaiden might have a trigger in one of your dialogue's with Kreia. I'm not sure, but it seemed I couldn't convert her until I talked to Kreia and she gave me a lecture about training Jedi. It might be a good idea to talk to Kreia about the other characters anyway. She knows much. Perhaps too much.
  4. Seriously, it always seemed to me like he did it to himself, to push the limits of pain so that he no longer felt it. ---------------- Kreia's Apprentice: Can I stay here in Korriban? Darth Sion: Yes, you can. KA: Thank you. Darth Sion: You're welcome, but I want you to do me a favor. KA: What's that? Darth Sion: You have your lightsaber? KA: Yeah. Darth Sion: Hit me with it. KA: WHAT?! Darth Sion: I...want...you...to...hit...me...as...hard...as...you...can. KA: I don't know about this. Darth Sion: I don't know either. I want to find out. I've never been hit with a lightsaber. Have you? KA: No, but that's a good thing, isn't it? Darth Sion: I don't want to die like those masters on the Jedi Council. Like the Echani say, 'how much can you know about yourself if you've never been in a fight?' I'll never ask again. KA: Me? Darth Sion: Yeah you. I'm letting you go first. If you want to have an arm left to swing your lightsaber you'll do it. KA: This is crazy. Ok, where do you want it? Darth Sion: Surprise me. (Kreia's Apprentice takes a wild swing and lops off the side of Sion's face.)
  5. I'm heading into the endgame today, just confronted Atris, and was wondering if there was either: A) a bug in computing enemy saves against your pc's Force powers. B) their saves are just ridiculously high at the end of the game. I'm playing LS 21 Guard/ 9 Master with 34 WIS and 26 CHA for on Difficult. Is it possible these stats are just too low? Korriban was my last planet and for awhile I would get some "Saved" and some "Resisted" but now at the end of the game every Force Wave and Stasis power I throw at them is resisted by every enemy on the screen. I don't mind balancing the game so that the Force-Spamming Technique from KotOR 1 is no longer an effective strategy by istelf, but only being able to use Master Speed + Master Critical Strike + two keen sabers for 200+ damage a round is equally boring.
  6. What's cool is that when you play through the game the first time the menu sith lord changes once a new one is introduced, but not until then. Just beat Atris yesterday and when I went to exit, lo and behold there was Kreia on the menu screen!
  7. Revan is a great character, but he's not even close to Sidious. That's nuts. Sidious truly accomplished something that every true Sith, fake Sith, Dark Lord of the Sith, and Dark Jedi only dreamed of: He ruled the galaxy and wiped out the Jedi. In the end, it doesn't matter how he did it, only that he succeeded where every other Sith Lord failed. The Republic, which had survived for over 20,000 years, had withstood a Mandalorian invasion, Exar Kun, Revan, Malak, the second coming of the Star Forge, a Jedi Civil War, Darth Bane, and more was destroyed by the machinations of one man, Darth Sidious. I think that pretty much ends the debate. If you actually need any more evidence: -Sidious enslaved THE Chosen One by turning him into a Sith Lord. Revan was captured and enslaved by the Jedi Council. -Sidious triumphed over Yoda, Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywaylker, four of the greatest Jedi EVER. Revan couldn't defeat those schlucks Vrook, Vandar, and Bastila Shan. -For his/her great tactical mind, Revan was lured into a trap and his ship boarded and basically taken over by a band of Jedi. Would Revan defeat Sidious in an isolated duel? Quite possibly. There's a good chance that Revan's skill with a lightsaber + his/her force powers would trump Sidious' own immensely strong dark powers. Give both of them a small fleet and Revan would outmanuever Sidious. Give each a galaxy and Sidious would end up ruling them both.
  8. I'm 2/3 through the game for the first time, and by the time you reach about level 20, it doesn't much matter which attack you use because you'll mow down most enemies in a round or two. That said, without the mathematical proof, my sense is that flurry is better than power attack from about levels 1-12 and power attack seems better at higher levels. I rarely use a single blaster for ranged weapons but rapid shot seems better than power shot at all but the first few levels.
  9. I'm still on my first time through the game and so didn't know what to expect with the Dxun mission. I picked Atton, Mandalore, and Handmaiden, but because I did the planets in a weird order hadn' turned Atton or HM into Jedi yet. In a strange way it was a blessing because it helped me learn the value of mines and stealth where a Jedi's healing wasn't available. ******ADDITIONAL SPOILER****** Using Atton also gives you an intesting dialogue at the end where the Sith Lords try and turn him to the Dark Side. Not sure if it happens with the others too.
  10. Why does everyone like silver? It's basically a blurry white stick. Anyway I like purple the best.
