  1. I also got an ethereal piglet — dunno if it was preorder or Kickstarter. It doesn't do anything.
  2. Companies can censor what they want. Consumers can choose what company to support, though. Increasingly so, as time gives them more and more tools (from boycott campaigns to social media endorsements, from piracy to Kickstarter) to influence a company. And especially so for a company like Obsidian, who has a much-higher than average reliance on an affectionate fanbase. In my opinion, a very bad judgement call was made in this case — someone did not realize that Obsidian was thrusting its head in the crossfire of a warzone by acknowledging this thing, and a minor, soon-forgotten issue has become a PR catastrophe that has no solution. If a great game like PoE suffers for such a stupid thing, it's going to be a colossal pity.
  3. You're wrong. If anything it should be more normal.
  4. Quite correct. Especially considering there are several types of Godlikes, and they don't look alike.
  5. My thus-far heavy-armored archer thanks you for clarifying that.
  6. Hopefully it comes soon. I'd rather not have to download 6 gigs again with my carrier-pigeon based internet connection.
  7. So, now we have. The backers who didn't want Obsidian to bend over and cave have been ignored to follow the whims of an advocate of genocide, and several of them are probably pretty mad. I know a certain consumer revolt hasn't reacted well. And that's a pretty big chunk of people. In the meantime, the people that Obsidian went out of its way to cater to, as seen up here and here, are still mad, because of the correction, because of other "problematic" content, and because they're always mad. Basically, Obsidian has turned a microscopic issue that would've been forgotten in days into such a spectacular PR catastrophe that I believe there is literally no way for them to get out of it without some colossal damage. If I were the marketing supergenious who cooked this up, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. They've done unrepariable damage to the company's reputation, which pisses me off even more because the game is excellent this far.
