It could have been me jinxing him with the ole' rally cap. Smyth scored three goals faster than Gretzky ever did. Plus he hit the 500 point mark tonight. And three natural hat tricks in the league tonight. ***Looks for full moon***

Man, you leave Cheechoo uncovered for two seconds and all hell breaks loose. Actually I have to really give him props for his first two goals. The first was a great attempt to get open and a beautiful cycling play, while the second was nothing less than the power of a pure goal scorer. Now if Edmonton could convert big hits into goals we would be laughing. It's good to see Lupul has a goal as well. He's been the cog on the first line tonight and pretty physical. Crosby gets me four points tonight. That's just plain cool. edit: me no spellz tu god

Thanks for the info, Hurlshot. I'd wish your team the best of luck against mine tonight, but it wouldn't really be sincere. Here's hoping nobody on either team gets injured tonight.

TV: Heroes
I disagree with your points about Peter, Gifted. I think he's more of a power leech than anything else. It would explain how he flew near his brother. It would also explain why he drew the picture of himself walking on air ( the stick figure thingy when he was in the hospital) after coming into contact with teh junkie. As for Claire the cheerleader, I figure that having a piece of wood/metal lodged into the base of your brain would slow down her powers somewhat. Kind of something along the lines of her body going into a shutdown mode while it tried to heal around her injury. Then a while after it is removed, presto!! As for Sylar, who knows what his powers are aside from the TK. He could have erected a small shield that knocked him back from the impact of the bullets. It also explains his flight. It's just too early to make any sort of definate conclusions until we see some more episodes.

ABC Miniseries: The Lost
If the Others didn't know about Desmonds' boat, do you think they knew about Kelvin (Kuwait torture guy and Desmonds hatchmate)? And was that a different monitoring station from the one we've seen before? Now when I think of the Others I can't help snickering and thinking 'hippies' "

Smith TV show
I liked Narc as well, but it wasn't a major success or anything. Smith had some promise as well, but the market is pretty saturated this season with all the continuous plotline shows. There's probably some crime related show on every night of the week ( don't ask me, my only regular shows are Heroes and Lost with Smallville pretty much ready to get the boot), or at least that's what it looks like on my program guide. See how we get back on topic here?

ABC Miniseries: The Lost
Quoted for truth. Nothing like some good old fashioned season three character development. And I'd just gotten used to calling him Benry Gale. Plus some possible answers if Benry was telling the truth. The Canadian preview for next week just about made it look like Locke . I vote yes. I've only seen the hobbit for maybe thirty seconds of screen time this season and the hate has just been woken. I was totally impressed with the backstory for Jin and Sun as well. Apart from Sayid, Jin is pretty much my favorite character, despite his wife degrading ways.

Does San Jose really have any offensive d-men besides Carle? That was the role that Brad Stuart really excelled at last season before the Thornton trade, did he not? And in the Sportsnet fantasy pool I'm entered in Carle is still looking like a great deal at a three rating. I'll check the Sharks scheldule and draft him accordingly. Thanks for the heads up Hurly.

Poor Ray, he never really recovered from Operation Dumbo Drop.

Smith TV show
I caught the first two episodes as I'm a big Ray Liotta fan, but when it came time to watch the third I kind of tuned out. It looks like I wasn't the only one. The pilot was exceptional, I thought. The second episode lost a little bit of steam for me, I kind of thought it was pretty much the same as the first one with a plot device or three thrown in. Do these new shows that get cancelled mean that they are bigger failures because of all the movie talent invading teevee these days? The cast of Smith alone featured four or five big screen actors.

I had one of my entries in my hockey pool in second place going into tonight. The other was fourth. After Detroit raped Phoenix 9-2 tonight, I'll be lucky to hit the top ten tomorrow. And FLorida bitchslaps Carolina 6 to 3. There is a god.

I'm not convinced that the black guy in the bar is Nikki's husband. Here is a post from another forum which kind of dispells that idea. I can't wait till monday.

Tom Waits reminds me of Sylvester the cat from Looney Toons in that song at certain points... The Kids In The Hall - The Bass Player the mother, the father, the serpent the priest, the foreman, the widow, the woman, the beast!!

What are you playing now?
I just lost to Calgary 7 to 5 in NHL2007. At least my created player earned an assist and wasn't minus two.

Forget that, did you see Mikku Koivu score on the wicked backhand in the shootout? Wow. I've expected nothing but the worst from Vancouver this season, and tonight they started to change my mind. Staying out of the box for the first two periods was pretty damn impressive IMO.

TV: Heroes
So what, the phone message from an obvious male was her in disguise? Not bloody likely. I think that the chick hanging with Mohinder is probably a federal agent (probably in league with Claire's dad) spying on Mohinder for his info. She probably had the apartment 'cleaned' so as to not alert the masses to the superhuman emergence. edit: It looks like this show might be around if the ratings hold up.

And it only took them ten attempts this game! Bravo Alex Tanguay! That should silence all of those cruel Calgary media types. So the Flames are what, 1 for 27 now?
