I made it through the first season of Carnivale last night. Goddamn that's a brilliant show. I think my favorite part was when Justin reveals Norman's greatest sin to him in the finale. Then the look on Justins face afterwards.

Mel Gibsons' Apocalypto. Very well done.

I stopped by a friends house to borrow a few movies and sure enough, he cracked out some of his homemade wine. I had a really big glass of a nice, not too sweet merlot. Very nice, the first few mouthfulls were a bit sharp, but after that it went down like water.

And it looks like Muckler is going to get the boot as GM in Ottawa. I guess going to the finals isn't enough for some owners.

So what's the verdict? Good, bad? It has to better than the first one right? Well, it's slightly better than the first. Some of the CGi shots of the planet are pretty damn cool. But then when you think about the acting, things go a bit to ****. This movie screams 'renter'. Either that of 'matinee'. Don't pay full price to watch this one.
