  1. I really liked the dialogue wheel in the Mass Effect games, I thought it really meshed with the cinematic style of the game. In other games I've actually sort of missed the functionality of knowing the tone of a reply by it's position, and mistakenly angered NPCs with replies that I intended to be friendly or joking, but the game interpreted as sarcastic or hostile. I really enjoyed Dragon Age: Origins as well, but I'll for sure wait around until I've gotten a solid impression of Inquisition before buying it (perhaps even a Steam sale).
  2. Yes, that's what I meant. The first part that is I'm sorry metalmunki, I didn't mean for it so come out that harsh.
  3. That's likely just a placeholder, remember that this is a work in progress.
  4. Here's the link to the IGN one, they run through the same content as in the Giantbomb video but they do it in a better manner, in my opinion.
  5. Where does this even come from? Is it a Warcraft thing? Orcs in Tolkien are different. Yeah, likely. And if Blizzard wasn't the source (I think they lifted a lot of stuff from Warhammer, but I'm not especially well read on the subject) they at least propagated it. The thread title, and the discussion, just reminded me of the game Of Orcs and Men (perhaps intentional from the OP?), where you play as an Orc warrior with a goblin sidekick against monstrous humans. Bit of a fresh air, at least thematically!
  6. Were you really spoiled on anything watching these videos? Then why do you go about watching new videos before you've played the game yourself? What constitutes a spoiler in your mind? They never said either. They wanted to avoid spoilers (This intro doesn't even really spoil anything. During one video he even refused to answer what the machine was at the end) and they want to avoid showing unpolished stuff (They only showed non-mage classes here probably for this reason). So, IMO they are still very much doing that. So why the hell didn't they show US that "non spoiler" stuff??? Why do I have to watch a crappy IGN video for it? If it's not that hard to prevent spoilers and stuff there is no reason to keep back that footage imo... But they did show us: by sitting down with the gaming press and playing the game. Are you saying that you are mad about where on the web the content you saw is hosted?
  7. I would actually like a RPG where there wasn't any humans, but the other "regular" fantasy races could show up, as well as that Sun Wukong idea above. It'd be cool, I think.
  8. Romantic love is overrated anyway, and not necessary for RP or memorable companions (as said more eloquently by tons of members of this board). Platonic love all the way!
  9. I'll want to see some of the exotic stuff, so I'll probably go something like this, if I like the characters when I meet them. Monk Barbarian Cipher Chanter Wizard or possibly Priest, Druid, or Paladin Ranger or Rogue Probably going to reason like this as well.
