  1. This point is so obviously correct that Austin Powers actually had a character to illustrate it, Basil Exposition. Just call Kreia, Darth Exposition. Honestly, for coloring in the basic plot, I could have done better in two days. Some of the dialogues, especially Kreia's, displayed some good writing, but they need to stop letting "developers" write the basic plots.
  2. That's the thing though. The ending sucks because the whole story sucked all the way through and they just had to reveal it suddenly at the end. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, the majority of the first part was pretty good but the the ending was the thing that minorly ruined it. I think that if the ending was altered and expanded upon, it really would have made it an extraordinary game, instead of a pretty good game for me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, see...it LOOKED good because you thought it was going to tie together at some point. The ending was bad because it revealed that there was absolutely NO LINK whatsoever between the Revan and Kreia stories except for the hand-waving that Kreia was one of Revan's teachers.
  3. The good news is that it sucked worse to pay for an unfinished product. The bad news is that unless they release a different game it's going to suck on the PC as well.
  4. Here's my take on the whole story....Some very tired and unimaginative people crammed together in a room had exactly one or two days to make a story out of the pieces of the game that they had finished. There are no answers, and any answers that are forthcoming are pulled, basically, from someone's fourth point of contact.
  5. Call me crazy but I was disappointed when none of the dialogues in the entire game reflected the resolution of the fuel problem on Telos. Or how about after you kill Nihilus and Visas' seems stuck in the past like some sort of Sith Rain Man? That was disappointing.
  6. That's the thing though. The ending sucks because the whole story sucked all the way through and they just had to reveal it suddenly at the end.
  7. It doesn't matter. The quest is broken.
  8. Hasn't anyone noticed that the Kreia storyline and the Revan storyline are unrelated, or related only in the sense that they are strung together with saliva and sheer will? Okay, so T3-M4 is sent back, by Bastila, on the Ebon Hawk to retrieve the Exile to help Revan fight the mysterious gathering evil on the Outer Rim... So they plunk Kreia on the Ebon Hawk and the entire story is about her madcap plan to destroy the force through you. The Revan material actually has no place in it, and vice-versa. The only links, which I'm sure the apologists will dig up, are there by pure fiat. It's not about dangling plots, or mysteries or ambiguities. It's about two wholly unrelated parallel plots. The whole real main plot also seems to be entirely about Kreia. Lame. The story is NOT supposed to be about some NPC. It's supposed to be about the protagonist. Like BG, BG2, and Plancescape: Torment, and even KOTOR 1.
  9. Just finished the game for the first time with my third character. The first two playthroughs were abandoned because of plot-breaking bugs. The ending was just astonishingly bad, moreso because it seems a desperate and pathetic attempt to tie together a non-existent plot. I suppose that story doesn't really matter so much to game sales, and if there is a KOTOR3 the sales will be strong. But I certainly do wonder where they dig up their writers, or if perhaps a bunch of designers just brainstorm random ideas and hang them together on a threadbare continuity. That's not to even mention how bug-infested it is. KOTOR1 was far, far better. This game will not be played again.
  10. The quest goes nowhere for me. I kill the fake Batu, and that's it. Nothing. No dialgoue options with any other NPCs. "Continue playing" is a flippant and inappropriate answer considering this is the spoilers forum.
  11. I'm having the exact same problem. I had one conversation with Visas, in which I, being a light side Jedi, attempted to direct her towards salvation. Ever since, Handmaiden has been completely broken. The reactions are inexplicable. And frankly, I think the influence system as implemented is a disaster.
  12. It's a good idea, but its implementation is disastrously poor. I have had no end of frustration with it.
