  1. Mortal Kombat...? I don't think we should dismiss this right away, it does have promise but Halo is way too science fictiony for a movie. But i do think it could turn out pretty decent, as long as they take the correct approach. And Baley is correct, if a movie is just complete and utter sh1t, then it must be funny. Look back to the recent movie thread and you'll see I mentioned Dog Soldiers. I've never laughed so much at a horror movie.
  2. Stupid military...If they had taken the necessary precautions then these dolphins wouldn't be on the loose in the first place...Disturbingly, these events resemble the plot in Deep Blue Sea (fantastic movie, much better than Jaws) which is on channel five right now... Coincidence?
  3. Law and Order is pretty boring, my parents watch it and i just can't stand it. I feel like they're turning into old people when they watch shows as boring as Law and Order.
  4. Resident Evil...? I've played Halo 2 (and a small demo of 1) and it's a good game, nothing special. The multiplayer IMO is overrated. I really don't think the story will work for a movie.
  5. I'd pay money to read a 13 year old's Geiger essay written while he's sleep deprived and his nervous system is being bombarded by a novel stimulant. It's probably gonna be more disturbing that Geiger could have ever hoped to have been. I think it's also funny that this 13 year old has been told to eat a bottle of ephedrine+caffeine pills, drink unfiltered coffee, take crystal meth, and plagiarize. The internet is like a rotting trash monster with a mouthful of hypodermic needles for teeth. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hmph....Im 14 thank you very much. And if you really want to read my 1 page and a bit essay, then all you have to do is ask I managed to scrape together enough sentences and pictures to satisfy my teacher...Unfortunately when i got to school i had lost my USB data storage gadget thingee. Luckily i had a backup on this computer I had half a cup of coffee before throwing the rest away...on the way to school i bought many sugary snacks to prevent my falling asleep in class again (all except maths of course.) See...i wanted to hand my work in on time since i hardly ever do homework, so i thought i might just be able to do it this time. Suprisingly i don't feel very tired it must have been the huge packet of M&M's i was munching on through first and second period. P.S i already had a detention today which i feel pretty guilty about missing...i was just too tired.
  6. My friends went to watch 40 year old virgin...2 of them left the cinema and returned 40 minutes later (apparently they went to McDonalds). They also said it was crap.
  7. Ahahahaha. I tell you what, though, watch that movie at 3AM in a dark, empty apartment while your wife's out of town and it seems a hell of a lot more consequential than it actually is. That pig mask? Man. I slept with my utility knife under my pillow that night. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suppose it is pretty scary, in the sense that the psycho guy could come after you someday. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Eh. The premise itself isn't all that scary, but some of the atmospherics definitely are. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought the weird looking mask was a bit overdone, but it still scared me sh1tless.
  8. Depends........ If you eat it raw straight out of the jar it might, but it is not something I would reccomend " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now you tell me Well i have about 2 hours to get started....unless i somehow manage to fake an illness...? Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. Im going to drink alot of coffee today (for the first time ever) otherwise i'll fall asleep in class again. Not recommended.
  9. Ok need more help...Need to find a simple biography of H.R Geiger....and my teacher has to believe that it was written by me...Any suggestions? P.S will coffee keep me awake for 8 hours?
  10. K'THX for help, might explain later. No time now. Thanx for help. I dont have coffee maker.

  12. One question: How do i make coffee? No time to explain now...Just tell me how to make coffee its urgent, and please be serious.
  13. Orginal japanese version, not chinese. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fix'd
  14. If i knew who Ingemar Bergman is, then i could come up with a satisfactory reply, but i don't know who he is so i'll just keep quiet.
  15. Marvel is obsessed with kinetic energy...Just about every mutant in the X-men universe uses kinetic energy. Nobody has answered my question about whether or not you can use powers whilst flying?
  16. Cartoons are way better IMO. The Mothman Prophecies Dog Soldiers (An awful movie IMO but it's the most hilarious in the horror genre up to date) Scream (Not very scary by todays standards, but a great movie) Scary Movie (A parody of Scream plus other movies. The best comedy EVER) Scary Movie 2 Scary Movie 3 The Grudge (I couldn't sleep for weeks) The Ring (Great story plot, much scarier than the original japanese version)
  17. BTW whats that thingee Psylocke carries around with her? It looks like a cross between a lightsaber, and what people use at airports to flag planes down.
  18. Ok so the ads were pretty annoying, but personally i didn't mind them. And if my memory serves me correctly, the Clonus Horror sucked badly. Most kids my age don't really remember Logans Run or the Clonus horror, so it's a good movie for teenagers. The point is that this was a good movie (not too original =\ ) and the countless ads are pretty funny (depending on your sense of humor). Personally i didn't get the feeling i had seen parts of it before in Logans Run (or the abominable Clonus Horror), so i found it to be pretty enjoyable.
  19. I am not. See the difference?
  20. I laughed every time i saw an advert...I thought they were pretty funny. But if that's the only reason you don't like the movie, then you need to learn to look past the minor faults. IMO Micheal Bay didn't do too badly with this one, plenty of action (no matter how far fetched), hilarious dialogue, hight quality special effects, top notch story plot and a great cast. I've only seen a little of Logans Run (before my time it was) but i would have to agree that it is very derivative. However, it's not entirely like Logans Run and we see remakes of old movies all the time nowadays, (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, WotW, Oliver Twist etc) so why should we complain if they borrow a few idea's from an old movie?
  21. Thanks for the background Mothman I like snow based themes, and it actually fits.
  22. Yeah the ending sucked. What I don't understand is, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Saying that The Island was way better than War of the Worlds is like saying that being shot in the leg is way better than being shot in the face: even if it's true, both still suck. The Island was the worst film I've seen this year (I didn't even bother with War of the Worlds, as there was no doubt in my mind that that film would outsuck a black hole). For starters, it was extremely derivative (of Logan's Run, especially), and I felt like I was watching a really, really long advert. A really intrusive advert, at that. An advert I had to pay to watch. Honestly, if I hadn't been there with my dad (sitting silently in a dark room for a few hours is our lazy idea of father-son bonding), The Island would have been the second film I'd ever walked out on (the first being Ocean's Twelve). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just what is it about the Island that made it suck? WotW was ok, it has the best special effects i've seen in a movie up to date. Saw is ok, but the villain was a bit predictable. My mom tells me to watch it saying ''You'll never guess who it is! Nobody guessed who it was so you wont either!'' Halfway through i guessed it, it was a bit of a dead giveaway. The Mummy is one of my favorite films still, second was ok but the first was still great.
