Or HanHarrs "Force Blo.." er... nevermind, kids maybe present. Was it me or did Kreia sound like a little school girl when she went screaming into a fight. Dragon

I posted this a couple times but I guess its worth another post. Open your swkotor.ini file and place this line under the Graphics Options... Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 Enjoy. Dragon

Funny, I'm using a ATI 9800pro and after I add the Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 to the ini file because of slowdown on Dantoonie, I haven't had a problem since. The game runs great with the 5.2 drivers, for me at least, running at 10x7 with everything cranked. Dragon

Stuck due to Bug on Telos.

I'm putting this wherever I see someone with a ATI card was havnig the same problems I had and this is the fix I found that works so far. Hope it helps. Dragon -
It works perfectly on my PC...

I've got a fix for ATI users that should work(working for me so far) if your pc takes a dump when you get to Dantoonie. In the swkotor.ini file, under graphics options add the line: Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 My fps was gone around the Khnooda area, I put in this line and the fps went back up. I slowly started turning stuff back on and it was still running fine. I've since turned all my settings back to the way I had them and the area is running great again. I haven't had a chance yet to really run around and test it out(being hounded by friends on im) but its a good place to start and so far I can play Dantoonie again. Dragon -
Radeon owners: Post driver success here!

Sapphire ATI 9800pro 128mb Cat 5.1 Thought I was safe from all the problems of the Kotor2 world but I'm not. Everthing was running beautifully until I got to Dantoonie and then the game took a dive(a bad one too, head first). I was playing with everything cranked and 2x AA and 4x AF, now everything is off and/or on low and its barely playable. Indoors seem to be fine but as soon as I hit the plains all hell breaks loose. It seems to only be in the area to the west of Krooda where the cave is and at the landing platform with the Ebon Hawk. The area to the west of Krooda loosened up a little after I killed the kinwrath, obviously. But it was so bad that I would hold forward down for like 2 seconds and by the time the game caught up it showed me half way across the map. I'm going to try the 5.2 and see if that helps out any, since its about the only thing I can do. Dragon -
My first thought would be to just go in and manually delete the Kotor2 folder, the folder in your start menu, and grab something like RegSupreme to clean up the reg files for the game(and anyother reg file that might still be there for past uninstalls). Give that a swing and reinstall, I'm sure it asks for disk 2, if not, big oops on Obsidian's part . Dragon

Nada one problem here. No crashes no nothing. I did see one goof though. I was talking to an Ithorian and in the scene he talks to you from just outside your doorway. Everytime it cut to him talking it would just show the door because the door wasn't triggered to stay open while he was there. That and the sound files for the Ithorian were grabbed from the first game but it seems like they only grabbed like 2 files and they loop over and over, which makes having the listen to him nausiating. Other than that, the game has been wonderful. Played for 6 hours straight with no probs. Oh, if anyone is wondering... AMD 2500xp, 1gig pc3200, 9800pro running Kotor2 at 10x7 everything cranked w/2x AA and 4x AF. Dragon

Did you tell them that you planned your day around picking it up? I did. In case anyone lives in my area, Western New York, Best Buy has it. So, you'll be able to go there Wednesday and get it for sure. Dragon -
has the pc version been released today?
ddragon64 replied to NeverwinterKnight's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I find it odd they didn't say anything about it going gold but does it really matter, we all know the game is done and in LA's hands. I can't remember if they said anything about the pc gold release of Kotor. Yup, every ad that had Kotor2 in it said available either Tues, Wed, or Thurs. I think Breast Buy said Friday though but unless its a major release like Halo2, Breast Buy is always a couple days late. You lucky mofo :D . Dragon -
Just The Matter Of Days!!

Hey, I took my time with Kotor and still missed stuff. I played through it twice and the second time I still missed the Juhani side story. Dragon -
