  1. I've been fairly busy for the past few months and haven't had much time to play or keep up with PoE current events. I wonder has there been any talk of more content on the way? Any idea when we can expect t see something new?
  2. It seems that the only time party banter is triggered is after entering a building or new area. I'll be the first to admit this is a petty complaint, but would still like to see a change to something a little more spontaneous.
  3. By the way, I went in for the $250 pledge, because I believed in them and thought that this was to be an instant classic. I do love the game and currently around 1/2 of the way through. I stop and read all lore and savor every minute of the game - no rushing here. To my shock and disappointment, besides all the collectors edition goodies, the actual signed part is nothing more than a sleeve that wraps around the CE box. The signatures themselves are not real. They are copies. I'll go back to check to see how many pledges were made at this level and higher to see if it was realistic to make a real signature, but I was under the impression were would get real honest signatures of the type people get at book signings. If I had known this, I would have selected the unsigned CE version. They singed every box by hand and everybody has their unique picture from Chris Avellone, if that is not case you should take contact to Obsidian's support https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/580939472654635009 https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/577140837336772608 https://twitter.com/Obsidian/status/577503858017984512 https://twitter.com/jonjonaug/status/582666947055091712 Here is video them signing those box covers https://instagram.com/p/zdmF_zJx37/ OP you should take also contact to Obsidian's or Paradox's support as you should had received Collector book with developers signatures in it. Thanks for the reply, Elerond. The last vid of them signing the box cover/sleeves does in fact look like what I have, but for the life of me it does not look like someone took a marker and signed it and passed it around. To me it looks likes a copy since the signatures are part of the box. I'm not a signature expert but it sure looks like a mass copy of the same signatures. I could not scratch off the ink. I'm not going to make a big deal of this, but I do have a slight regret getting the signed version.

  5. I'm noticing that many different armor are not showing to correct value after upgrading. For example stock Exceptional Mail crush value is 7, abut after applying "crush proofing" it only jumps to 8 instead of 10 since it's a +3 upgrade. I notice some armors upgrade fine, so I'm assuming it is in fact a bug and not a twist on rules I don't understand. Another example is Aloth's leather armor which have the following stats: DR 6 / Slash 9 / Corrode 3. Upgrading to "fine(+2)" changes it to DR 8 / Slash 12 / Corrode 4. Enchanting it further to boost it's low corrode stat I went with Corrode Proofing (+3) and that changed DR to 8 / Slash 12 / Corrode 6. Are these stats based on something else? Possible bug? Thanks!
  6. I just picked up Kana in my party and gave him a weapon for his third weapon set. Now when I select a different(any) character that has only two sets, a third weapon set still shows with the same weapon that I just gave Kana. Rebooting the game clears it until I select Kana, and then it stays. Not a big issue, but a little annoying.
  7. Wasn't in the list of download options for the Royal Edition... Did he even write one?
  8. I went with the signed Collectors Edition. This game for me means a lot as I have been waiting for something like this for a long time, but I digress. Correct me if I'm wrong, the download key for either GOG or Steam is a different key(serial number) from the Collectors Edition copy serial number? Two different keys, right?
  9. I gave the new build a try late last night. I have to say that I am now satisfied with the changes to the item descriptions. Many of my prior concerns have been addressed. Thank you, Josh and crew!
  10. In one of the older updates, I remember Josh talking about the quality of the art and dynamism of the maps. In the recent gameplay vid of Josh walking around some of the countryside and then in Defiance Bay, things looked a little too static. I wonder if swaying trees, bushes, and grass have been chopped? Dungeons and the city also need a little something other than torches to give it a little more life. I think the art and the game in general are looking top notch, but it seems to be missing a little of that dynamism!
  11. Overall, I really like how things are coming together. A small gripe of mine, which may seem nitpicking to some, are the item description pictures. Some pictures of swords and staffs for example are really small and it just looks odd. I think a quick fix would be to simply enlarge it by 15-20% so some detail can be seen. If more time could be spent on this I'd rather have a direct copy of how it was done in Baldur's Gate. A larger old paper-like window with a bigger drawing or picture with lots of space for the item description. Just an idea...
  12. You can almost tell who was around playing Baldur's Gate when it first came out and who wasn't by the comments... One big reason why full voice acting was omitted from the IE games is that they simply couldn't fit it all on the disks. I think Baldur's Gate had four or five and BGII had four. The IE games handled it perfectly though. They gave you just enough to give the game flavor and characters identity. We all know what iconic Minsc sounds like and or course boo's squeak! Full voice acting is unnecessary and in some ways would hurt the flow of the game. I doubt PoE will have anywhere near the same amount of partial voice acting BGII has, but as long as it's enough to give the game flavor is all that matters! I don't think we will be disappointed.
  13. They made a calculated decision to release the "beta" in this state. They are now asking us to work with what we were given and help find bugs and make suggestions. So let's do it! Let's work together and start making coherent lists of bugs and suggestions. Maybe the moderator can make a master list for each? We can add to it as we play through the beta. Be specific about the bugs and be realistic with suggestions. Within a few short weeks we can identify the real issues and be a "bug" help in getting it released before the holidays!
