  1. A unique gameplay feature is not necessarily the same as advancing the series forward, especially if the features are exclusive to the games they're included in. Though the inclusion of one specific feature in several of the games is welcomed the series is still, at core, the same.
  2. There are very few things of which I am a fervent fan of, but Zelda is one of them. From what I gathered it's got the usual design and feel of a Zelda game but doesn't really move the series forward. Which may be true, but seriously, tha has been true for nearly all of its titles.
  3. I never had any problems with Amazon.uk's marketplace sellers when it came to delivering things in great condition; it's just that some refuse to ship here while apparently shipping worldwide. About the only time I had a problem was when one of them sold me the Sierra Best-Sellers version of Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay when he clearly forget to advertise that it wasn't the original version, but it wasn't that important.
  4. So I guess my tongue is going to tingle all over.
  5. Having been unable to make a preorder of the Gamecube version earlier, I had to look at Amazon.uk's marketplace every chance I had to find a copy being sold. Unfortunately most marketplace sellers are douches who seem to have some problem with Portuguistan. My luck changed today as I just found someone selling it like new. I quickly ordered it, and expect it to arrive between one to two weeks. It cost me the eyes on my face but at least I still have the thumbs to play it! :joy:
  6. Hey Hades, sing us a song about people who keep discussing the same beaten down arguments, willya? I've lost track of how many times that's been discussed.
  7. Pretty much all of it :/ I just tend to look at those kind of things like wasted opportunities to actually make a credible and solid fantasy gameworld. It's better to find sillyness that's an outcome of the settings' own elements that seeing developers shove pointless references like those in games *shrugs*.
  8. I didn't find the whole YMCA thing funny :/
  9. Wonder if you get to use the Wiimote during those sex scenes?
  10. The Singles would be my choice fo videogame sex if I was into that Although some of the Bordello soundbites are amusing
  11. Not a spoiler since it's not part of the main narrative. Marriage, divorce and wife beatings are optional.
  12. That's fun until one notices that it's all smoke and mirrors. Titles like Arrowdodger, Avatar and Arseface are bought instead of earned*, and most NPCs - wives or husbands to be included - will just follow you around after you've earned their respect by doing something like 27 Sexy Hero Dances or pelvic thrusts in front of them, wheter you're good or evil. *
  13. A truncated Zelda-styled action game with superficial curiosities?
  14. Hmm. You may have a point there.
  15. I still remember being impressed by the first times I tried those kinds of stunts in S^2. In one early level I was faced with very close quarters combat, a house where some officer was residing. I remember bursting my machine guns and hitting enemies across the ceiling and through staircases. Very
  16. I'm playing it for reviewing material, taking one for the team like I did with The Bard's Tale. I think the best aspect of Fable is that even when you cast aside Molyneux's vain pretenses of suggesting what the game would be, the game itself promises to be much more in the earlier stages... And then fails to deliver on nearly everything. There's a solid foundation of good, core concepts there but then it muddles, breaks or just doesn't know how to put them to good use.
  17. Female characters should be able to romance Raven
  18. That kind of reward sound about right for an 8th to 10th level range. But assuming one would create a module - or series of modules - that would span several level ranges with the possibility of ending close to a 20th level marker, what would be the best way to balance this? I'm not a big fan of high level loot though there should be some to accomodate the players that enjoy it... But in terms of personal bonuses how could this be handled? When does it become overkill or overpowered? (I'm not talking about The Black Hound by the way, so ramza can put the steak knife down).
  19. Boiling Point comes to mind as well.
  20. I saw that Dunwhich expansion as well, though I wasn't sure it'd be good or not and I didn't have that much money on me.
  21. The Prestige. Nolan keeps interesting for a while and it's a nice enough story... Until the end where the obvious plot twist Michael Caine pointed out actually becomes true, and we're forced to watch cuts from previous parts of the movie because somehow the audience needs to have them fully explained.
