  1. We don't actually know what "vetting" entails. Please..... the story that this one backer somehow escaped vetting is a lie to cover this ruse. They clearly were pressured by the LGTB lobby to change this text. Im telling you..... all the developers laughed when they first read this text.... NONE found it offensive.... its why it was in the game I recall one of the devs in a PoE sit-down/demonstration sounding quite effeminate. If I were to suspect anything it would be that they have LGBT sympathizers from within also pushing this. - conspiracy theory. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Next you'll be insinuating they spoke with a "gay lisp".
  2. Listen to yourself dude. #1 is essentially "they did not censor enough." Weren't you JUST throwing a fit there was censorship at all? #2 Sawyer gave attention to a different party entirely. Sawyer never directly responded to anything the genodice advocate said. No, it's "they didn't even bother to censor consistently". Eric and Cheong both advocate genocide and those are the only two people Sawyer @ed. Either way he listened to one. Eric's not even her deadname. You are fooling noone. Try KiA, they'd upvote your **** to the ceiling.
  3. I knew it was offensive. It was meant as a joke, you know...an offensive one. What fault is there in expressing myself with something controversial? Knock yourself out, but you better not be whining if someone expresses themselves by calling it out. Calling it out is quite different from attempting to extinguish it. It's fine to disagree with questionable content but to call for it to be cut out... well, that speaks of great immaturity. So you're ok with speech you disagree with so long as it's impotent. Persuasion = censorship. Of course. Of course.
  4. Heh, I could see it now - Wizard spells called: Entitlement, Repressive Freedom, Firedorning..... Nah we'd bring back the hardcore Contigency **** from BG2.

  6. You know how PR works... it generally make things worse when the truth isn't as bad as it seems. Sometimes not bothering about "What will people think if I say this? ... and what if I say that instead?" can make everything go smoother. Obsidian isn't perfect, but that doesn't make them terrible people either. The thing is, if they are willing to bend over for this, it also reflects on their integrity in other areas... like development. There are already big threads pointing out some fundamental flaws in the rule set, as well as some funky decisions with their art style. So this is just another highlight with something internally wrong imo. Game is still impressive though If SJWs had that power, trust me, wizards would be a lot more powerful.
  7. BTW as the 'SJW' y'all seem to dislike the most, I'm ok with violence, rape, and even transphobia in an RPG. But not as a cheap joke. And not in a way that makes no effort to see things from the victim's eyes. Imagine a world where our demands to do **** well are accommodated. The horror!
  8. "She's horrible that's why it's ok to make transphobic comments out of frustration!" Yes, please, keep talking.
  9. I dont know if you noticed it but they are using it to insult this person because they are upset. Just like she wants to kill all men because she is frustrated and upset. You think she's a terrible person, and yet it's ok that their actions are morally equivalent.
  10. deadname?Name before she transitioned. Gets hurled at transfolk a lot.
  11. BTW a few people tried to use Erika's deadname. It's not actually Eric. That's pretty lazy of you. If you're going to be a bigot and blow your whole case to hell put some more effort into it.
  12. Like their critics are using Gamergate graphics. In other words, prettt ****ing justified.
  13. I love how you think anyone will take you guys professed motives seriously when your posts lecture about how misgendering is ok. Like, credibility went all the way out the window there.
  14. I feel better now that everyone's true motives are coming out now.
  15. If you think calling someone a tranny and misgendering them is ok then that's I need to know about this outrage.
  16. Oh it's much worse. It's caving in to the demands of a twitter tranny who likes to to tweet disgusting genocidal fantasies. Yet zealously expects others to live by a strict moral standard he would never, not even for a split second, apply to himself. I mean the thought would just never register. Totes not rabidly transphobic. Actual bigots: go ahead and admit it like this guy has so we can move on with the substance.
  17. "Social Justice" began as the name of an anti-semite publication in the 1920s US. Coming from a family with no shortage of Jewish ancestors, I can say my life would be a lot better without it. That's a bald faced lie. It was first used by a Jesuit during the 1848 revolutions. And it's not the only bald faced lie being thrown around in this thread. So it's actually associated with the violent and chaotic "reign of terror" where people were murdered daily for mere association, birth or opinion? Much better! That's the French Revolution. Lol.
  18. Lol she was taunting Gamergaters calling her slurs. Not the same thing.

  20. There are backers that were in favor of this, who wanted this. What makes your demands more important than theirs? And how is what they're doing censorship but what you're threatening not? Funny thing is no 'SJWs' called for a boycott. Just you. They wanted to talk to the devs, and they did.
  21. I'm looking forwars to a petition requiring Obsidian to have at least five rapes that serve no purpose to the story per game for the requisite "edgyness." You wanna boycott, I wanna know what the demands are, and how you'll know Obsidian has fulfilled them.
  22. That would be great if it wasn't a fallacy of relative privation. How can we hope to stop the corruption in Washington if we can't even sort out videogames, hm? You're right! Why did we try to oppose the bailouts by pressuring congress when we should have focused on VIDEOGAMES?
  23. What would it take to stop the boycott? Do a dozen transwomen have to be killed in a game, so that Obsidian can show they're serious about not being "censored"?
  24. Would would really be amazing would be if all the armchair activists here could direct all of the "courage" they've displayed today to a real issue, like the **** that goes down routinely in Washington. The world would really be a better place if this fire showed up when it actually mattered.
  25. The level of outrage displayed today is several orders of magnitude higher than the original outrage to the original lines themselves. To those who demand that others "grow a thicker skin", can you avoid sounding like a 5 year old first? Cause that would really help your case if you could pull that off.
