I believe there is some sort of guild housing planned, or something about guild being able to claim keeps.

He was good, but he didn't die, so he fails.

At rank 10, I haven't seen much that would make me call the quests complex. The battles get more complicated, though. I like how the map makes finding quest areas super easy. It makes it easy to knock out 4 or 5 in quick succession. There was a pretty good quest line in an enemy town, you sneak in and then gather stuff to disparage the name of the local marshal. Once he's under arrest by the church, you have a clear path to kill the local lord. Some of the orc quests are funny, too. I had to gather knocked out dwarves and put them in barrels, then roll them off the castle walls.

Realm versus Realm. Basically the game world has open areas where Empire humans, elves, and dwarves fight against Destruction humans, dark elves, orcs and goblins. You are flagged for combat when you enter these areas.

That remains to be seen. We won't see how bad the impact, if any, will be for at least a year or three down the line. Of course, it may be sooner. If Dragon Age tanks, it would probably be the fault of DRM. If Dragon Age tanks, it will be blamed on a weak PC gaming market and we will see even less games like this coming out for the PC.

EA doesn't have an obligation to its customers to keep a forum up at all. I'm not sure why people are up in arms about this. It seems to be a much bigger deal that they are relenting on the DRM measures. I'm starting to get the feeling some folks are just looking for a reason to whine about EA. Board moderation isn't anything new. EA is not the only company to do it.

Bond sucks? Casino Royale was top notch, and I thought most people praised it on the forums. The Bond franchise has been revived by Daniel Craig. -
Do you guys pass to the point? I've got 12 goals and 10 assists in 16 games as a power forward center.

Ah, I guess that makes sense. I went to San Jose State, and I always called it tuition, but I suppose it could have been called something else.
-
no tuition at state schools if you are a CA resident. taks I wish that were true. Tuition is cheaper if you are a CA resident, not free. When I went it was about $1200 a semester for a full time student, out of state was about twice that. Today I think it's closer to $2000 for a resident, but I could be wrong on that. I know it's gone up.

So far, queuing has been pretty lame. But you can be anywhere in the world and join a queu and you can do whatever you want while waiting. Am I mispelling queu? It looks wrong. But the scenarios are just one aspect of the game, I prefer the RvR battle grounds myself, which are open to the entire server. It's definitely an MMO. If you disliked other MMO's, I don't see it changing your opinion. It's a polished one with an emphasis in PvP and grouping. I can see giving Age of Conan a try, as it is a bit different in terms of combat, but WAR follows the standard MMO gameplay ideology. And why shouldn't it? It's been very successful so far.

I don't see why anyone would use macros in any game. It's a game, I'm either in the mood to play it or I am not. Those people are just silly. The only instances I've noticed are for scenarios (which are like battlegrounds in WoW). You have to join a queu and wait for it to free up. But I'm only level 10 and I haven't researched it. The world is seamless and the different zones are unnoticeable when you pass through them. But there are also non-instanced battlegrounds where you capture the flags and such.

There is a fair amount of PvE content, from what I've seen, but I'm not a great judge. I tend to take a pretty long time to get to the level cap in these games. There are 3 different...continents, you might call them. Each continent has Order and Chaos PvE areas, and there seems to be enough content to get up to the level cap. The Public Quests are a pretty great PvE concept. You work with other folks to trigger certain events in an area. You don't even need to be grouped up, although it helps when there aren't many people attempting it.

I just got a skill called "Hold the Line". You basically create a shield wall that protects you (damage lessened 45%) and anyone within a certain radius (damage lessened 15%) for about 12 seconds. It also stacks up to 3 times, so if I get together with two other guys, I can make our group near untouchable for 12 seconds. That's simply fantastic. So working together as a group is very important in this game. If you have friends that you actually like in these games, it's quite fun. If you rely on pickup groups, then you could be pretty pissy about the experience.

Are the Sharpe movies good? I've read every one of the books, they were fantastic.

So clicking on an enemy and pressing different keys is bad game design? Sure, I admit MMO combat is simplified and slower than most games. That's actually the appeal. My wife can play WoW with me. If she tried to play action games in todays market, she'd just get frustrated. Most MMO's are accessible by a wider audience.

The Mexican government runs the power company and a few others, which are pretty big. I don't see where the outrage would be coming from. If it was a hostile takeover situation, sure, but these companies are begging for help from the government.

Really? It horrifies you that people play MMO's? It's just a game genre. I really can't stand playing RTS's, but I don't get horrified that it's a popular gaming genre. To each their own.

Jet Li, is that you? Careful Slug, he can kill you with his pinky.

I'm really enjoying it. I've got a few friends playing and we've been kicking butt and taking down names. The combat system - I'm playing a Tank Chosen, and I'm pretty powerful. The combat has some neat ideas, but I wouldn't say it's unique to other MMO's. It's just an expanded version of what we've seen. Some nice additions are traits that make you more ffective against human players of certain races. For example, I like to beat down elves, so I've specialized in it. PvP - Very fun. I'm not a fan of PvP in MMO's, but this game has really made it good. There are lots of quests in RvR combat areas, and I had a party today ripping through the flag points and having a blast. It's definitely a group-centric game. I don't think soloing would be much fun. You need a good group of buddies to get the full enjoyment. Also, I don't know much about the Warhammer world, but Mythic has crafted a very cool place to play. As an Orc, a catapault launched me up onto a castle wall and I had to fight through the enemies. It was very fun. If you like MMO's, I'd say it's a solid one.

I was gonna jump on the 300% statistic, but qt pie already did. Oh man...I just figured out what your name means. I'm slooooow. Moatilliatta brings up a good point, it's not really the police presence that's an issue, it's more about how they assert that presence. If they are overly aggressive and patrolling like a military force, then that's a serious problem. If they are well trained and acting in a strict peace keeping role, then you should feel better abut your safety. Unless you are a mouthy ****. Then expect a beat down and a bit of electricity.

You lost my interest there. Really? They did put Firefly on the air. But they also put Roseanne on the air. What is wrong with you? Roseanne is awesome. Next you'll be knocking Married with Children. They also put Get A Life and Arrested development on the air. In fact, Fox is fantastic at giving odd shows a chance on the air. What they are terrible about is axing them before the first season is complete. edit: I looked it up, Roseanne was on ABC. You lose.

Gorgon must be in California then, because I've been hearing about it too. I think they are protesting the new Sons of Anarchy show by shooting people.
