Still playing Risen. It really made me drop GTA4 fast. I probably won't go back to GTA4 unless I find a way to improve the performance.

I have a few concerns about your odds of re-hooking up with this girl slug. Don't take this too critically, as there is really no bad way to lose your virginity, unless it is in prison. First off, the car is a pretty bad place to do it. You mentioned the heat and everything, that is going to leave her with a fairly negative memory of it. Also, there are two type of girls, the ones that want to reach the O and aren't concerned about your O, and the ones that expect you to reach your O. You missed on both of those. It isn't a big deal that you didn't get her to reach, that is tough to do, but there might be some concerns by her that you didn't reach. Did she know this was your first? It would probably be good for her to know, the first should be treated as a mulligan situation. If she knew and she doesn't give you one more shot, then she isn't worth your time.

I've never really seen a game come so close to making your decisions in the original game seem to have a real impact in the sequel. Given the raw amount of choices available, they did a fantastic job of showing consequences. It was also pretty obvious from an early point that ME2 was a bridge to the conclusion. It was a launch pad for the characters, and I'm guessing the third will have very few new faces but will be focused on wrapping up the plot.

I don't think it is the English, so much as the lack of spaces in between words. Is your space bar not working right? I'm pretty sure I disagree though. Mass Effect was very good and ME2 improved on quite a few aspects of the original. I'm excited to see how they wrap it up.

I remember the clunky interface from FFXI seeming to be because it was designed for consoles. It's a shame if they weren't able to correct that, it was a fairly glaring issue.

Guild Wars is much more akin to a Diablo 3 than an MMO, by the way. GW2 though, seems to be going with the persistent world model of an MMO.

It seems like if they had made the beautiful open world more than just a backdrop, it would have been a better game. I noticed that playing the demo. At first I was in awe, and then I started to notice that my exploration was rather fruitless. I can definitely see the AP comparison. Both have great stories and are going to get a nice cult following, but they have trouble matching up to other games in their genre. Mafia is marketed as an open-world game but doesn't do what GTA and others have done, and AP isn't as sharp as other stealth shooters.

The Duggars' are amazingly self sufficient. Kate Gosselin and the Octomom seem like better targets for our ire.

I prefer BG1 to BG2.

I used to work the night shift at an Egyptian museum. I would carry my maglight on my shoulder so I could swing it easily in case I was attacked by thieves or mummies.

It's a bit of a gray area, you have the Arabian Peninsula, Asia Minor, India, and just a lot of other subcontinents or regions in the area. Heck, Europe isn't technically a continent either.

Seconded, I hear they are working on Risen 2. I'm not sure if these financial problems will affect that.

I'm really into Risen, it is shaping up to be one of the best games I have played in a long while. The voice acting may be the biggest surprise, wasn't it developed in Eastern Europe? Those are usually terrible with the voice work. I'm working my way through the Monastery right now, it is quite fun.

Again, this was one guy at THQ telling off people who whine about missing out on online content when they buy second hand. People seem to continue to blow this out of proportion.

I have no desire to pander to your whimsy, but if you don't include me in the party I will swim across the Atlantic Ocean and glare disapprovingly at you for an entire week. Hurlshot should be a Cleric of Tempus with a big red axe, by the way.

Picked up Risen today. It is actually really great so far, beautiful game, easy to play, fun to explore. It also runs perfect on my machine, but I did install a gigantic patch.

I'm kinda disappointed in GTA: TLC on the PC. It just doesn't run right. It isn't my PC, I can run it fine with high settings, but there are just a lot of little graphical glitches that didn't happen on the 360.

What about property taxes?
