  1. Rovers End? So true, pets like Rover are really essential to light armoured, ranged builds
  2. Here is a method I use to take down the harder enemies. I place the party into 'scout' mode (which also places Rover into stealth) then I send him forward on his own, once he has located who he wants to take down he appears and then entices them back towards my stealthed party. Once the enemies are all dead Rover gets his pick of the bones. True story.
  3. Hall of The Mountain King I think the opening theme is wonderful, evoking Greig's Peer Gynt Suite, listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyM2AnA96yE Now, listen to the PoE opening theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSRJiBd-Ktc
  4. I have finally sat down, having had some time with PoE and can say without a doubt this is one of the finest rpg's I have ever played. Immediately you start the game you know Pillars is going to be something special when you hear that incredible music, and oh what music it is! At once, chilling, yet eliciting wonder and mythology reflective of all the great English, Saxon and Scandanavian tomes such as Beowulf; story, characterisation, combat, PoE has it all. Thank you so much Obsidian, you have given hope to an old-school gamer who had thought that the suits at EA and Ubisoft ruled unchallenged. Thank the Gods for you, Kickstarter, Bards Tale and Inxile, my gaming time looks ready to be full with the likes of PoE, Torment 2, Bards tale and Wasteland 2. If there is a god he is smiling down on Irvine, ca.
  5. Still haven't got my 'Order of Obsidian title (
  6. Sweet! Thanks for your help. I got my Guide and joined The Obsidian Order whatever that is edit, Actually, Gfted1, have you seen a cloth game map on your travels? I fancy one of those as well.
  7. That's where I looked first, did you buy yours on its own? As in a separate pledge or part of a package? edit. I think I may have to upgrade my pledge to Royal which includes: BASE GAME DIGITAL ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK DIGITAL CAMPAIGN ALMANAC THE "MAKING OF" DOCUMENTARY DIGITAL HI-RES GAME MAP WALLPAPERS RINGTONES DIGITAL NOVELLA BY CHRIS AVELLONE DIGITAL COLLECTOR'S BOOK PDF HI-RES CONCEPT ART PIECES DIGITAL STRATEGY GUIDE
  8. Guys I was just reading the latest newsletter and loved the look of the Strategy Guide the problem is where can I buy it in England? In fact I couldn't find the guide anywhere.....I believe the guide is being published by Prima; however, finding it seems impossible.
  9. Thanks guys, I don't mind them at all
  10. Hey everyone, I've been away working for a while, anyhoots I'm back and having jumped onto the beta found that the game has updated quite considerably since last I played, one of the puzzling new aspects is that certain npc's have a 'eye' symbol hovering over them; when you click on the character concerned they all have a back story, so with this in mind any chance someone could tell me what they are all about? Thanks in advance
  11. Lol, pull the other one it has bells on it.
  12. I have been away tha noo, what's the latest, have the devs responded to the fact that the polls indicate the majority want xp from combat?
  13. Where are we at the moment, have the devs responded yet?
  14. You're asking for trouble if you try to play on previous beta version saves. Start a new game, and save yourself some headache. How much progress are you really worried about losing? Okely dokely, thanks.
