mu main grief is that the big nations of Europe aren't upholding their own laws .. for instance a country can't have a deficit under 3 procent .. but Germany had one at 2,8 .. France was worse (can't remeber the exact figure) but they never recieved a warning .. later when Germany passed the minimum, neither did they! this is unaccaptle in my opinion .. and until such issues are resovled I think EU is a bad idea!

I don't want to quit NATO .. I think they play a major role in the world and one I would like us to have a say in! but as far as EU .. I want to stay in the European Union, but I don't want us to be overheard simply because we have a smaller population, if it affects us we should have a say in it just like everyone else! on top of that I would love a much closer relation to our northern borthers .. since we have so much more in common!

Alliance isn;tthe dream of europe to unite as 1. and that the euro helps all to interrconnect more? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well no .. we are very different countries with different goals and desires! every country in Europe has a very strong sense of nationalism .. so being united under 1 banner and one name is more horrific than pleasing!
-
so would I actually .. but that is very unlikely and would be pretty difficult to pull off I think .. the problem is that they are letting the big nations get away with too much, but if they change that I would think EU is a great idea .. until then though! let's make a united Scandinavia!

hmm found a good webiste about those things.. that (20-28.000) is an average paycheck amount .. what you can expect as a new teacher, almost regardless of school! but of course in can differ from place to place ..
-
it really depends on alot of things .. what kind of teacher you are and how long you have studied etc! but I found that as a new teacher in a kind of High School called HTX (which focus more on practical science) you get around 20.000 kr a month .. but after a few years, with a bunch of bonuses and the likes, you can get around 28.000 .. But I don't know if that is alot or very little .. Im not a teacher, and I don't know anyone personally who is!

been to France recently?? and I find it rather amusing that the guy from Finland is calling Danes barbarians! :D we were civilized before you were even the concept of a nation!
-
well because we are sneaky bastards .. we knew that the inflation would run amok in the countries that took it while the Euro is trying to stabilize .. which means we would make alot of money on trade in the meantime, and then we can join afterwards .. and make even more money! :D
-
cool .. well what can I say .. we Vikings like to travel and spread our blood (and others)
-
move here then .. you won't get any taxes .. free healthcare and free college!! see why we like Denmark?? :D plus since your 22 you will get about 4400 kr a month by the state for being under education ..
-
about 40% .. but the first 36.000 you make is taxfree but the level of taxes depends on how much you make in total per year
-
well the funny thing is .. that capitalism doesn't work the same way here, it may seems a little strange to you, but even if you are not a part of a union you still get as much as all the others .. it's so rooted in our culture that we never worry about it, plus there is a minimum wager set by the goverment, but in all the time I have worked I have always been payed around 80-90-100 kr pr hour (and I think 1 dollars is about 5 kr) ... and I've never been part of a union! I can't remember what the minimum wages are.. but if you get anything below it you simply complain to your local communal administration and the company is fined from here to hell .. so I don't think anyone dares to rip people off here! ^_^
-
well our labour unions are better (or just more powerful) than the ones in other countries .. and in many cases it's necessary to be part of a (required by the place you work) to be a part of a union .. and in a social Democracy wages are generally higher, since you also pay much higher taxes! but the reason why we don't have a Bill Gates or whatever is because the more money you make .. the more you pay in taxes (procent wise) .. so taxes differ from person to person! and can wage from 0% to almost 60-65% .. now we still have our share of rich people, but the average joe also makes more money and then pays less taxes, so there's not the big difference in social classes as you see in say UK or US .. to then make people start their own buisness (which doens't seem that lucrative when faced with higher taxes) you can take alot of what you spend on buisness related items out of your taxes .. so you don't get butchered the first couple of years!

what do you mean precisely by socialist program?
-
Like the sundemon had a number in hebrew (666) .. so does Jesus, his is 888 ..
-
well Darque .. it's great if you share the mentality! but it's hard if you don't! Denmark is great for the social minded, bur for one who wants to be filthy rich and have it all .. well then you want another country!
-
exactly! ^_^ if you want anohter label on you then you look like a "heavy metal" kind then ... if you were a hippie you would be wearing more colourful clothes .. at least that's the kind of hippies I know!

I like the system we have in Denmark .. which is a Social Democracy, we have free healthcare, free education all the way (unless you chose some kind of private school), and alot of financial help from the goverment wether you are unemployed or taking an education. Of course this is payed with high taxes, going so far as claiming 60% of a persons income in the highest cases.. and then a little insight into how and why that works where I live.. our system works here because of the Danish mentality .. which is too hard to explain, but in an essence it's "it doesn't matter wether you are rich or succesful .. just as long as you are happy" .. which means we won't strive to be the best, which is the mentality of more capitalistic nations England and US for instance, but we won't stand in anyones way if they want too! but then there is a complication, since equality is so heavily rooted in Danish society, we have developed a moral and social law which is called the Jante-law.. which in general say "You shouldn't think you are better than us!", it's the byproduct of socialism and equality .. "if you think you are better than me, then you are not danish!" so our social moral doesn't not inspire people to excel or strive for perfection like that of capitalistic nations, but it does inspire people to strive for happiness and the wellbeing of others! I would imagine it's the same in Sweden and Norway .. but I don't really know ..

VAMENOS!! "Can" you have just gotten one point of 'respect' from me .. simply baed on choice of avatar!!
-
Yeah that's right .. it was actually quite interesting! although I only caught that part .. but seriously, how do they develop that ability? it's really insane! I mean what kind of mutation makes you wanna rub your body against someone prone to eat you? I refer to the HHGTG's proof of the non-exsistence of God in this case! ^_^
-
Aumh .. since it's the meditation sign for that sound.. what did you hear? .. and Kaftan .. you need to pump some iron to even get to medium!
-
his particular style is pretty far from Hippie .. but then that's just me, I would label him as a light "heavy" ..

Do you find yourself creating the same character?
Rosbjerg replied to romeo_longsword's topic in Computer and Console
in Pen'n'paper I'm very flexible, and if I play with alot of friends I'll usually make a character that is needed (like if they are all mages, I'll be a figther etc) .. but it's more due to the "never order the same pizza as everyone else" philosophy! I like flavour in a game, and when alot of people each play very unique and different characters it's like perfect spices to a recipe for me! But I always, or at least when ever I can, play as an elf .. since I hate dwarves (only in RPG! don't worry) and I love playing an extremely arrogant elf! in crpg I usually play a Paladin .. as I want my main character in front, and Mages aren't the best choice when you want to barge through a door into a room filled with enemies! -
well I base my reading on the avatar too.. I don't hear a voice per say in my head when I read .. but the speed at which I read, where I pause and how I place the pressure greatly depends on what my perceptions are of the poster's personality! and when there's nothing to go on but the little picture on the left .. well then that plays a pivotal role of course!

not something I have seen .. but I heard that there is a ceartin kind of wasp that's is extremely large compared to a normal bee .. but these wasps will enter a beehive and start eating both honey and bees, now this is where it gets wierd! accidently bees can survive at up to 50 degrees celcius but these wasps can only withstand about 45 .. so all the bees lie in wait, and then suddenly swarm the wasp and start rubbing it, thus increasing the temperature and killing the big baddie, but just keeping it below their own maximum! (how do they even know how to do that?? which brainy bee went "hey lads! I got this really hoopey idea! this may sound rather insane .. but hear me out!?) just wierd! saw it on Discovery ..
