  1. The new patch should've taken care of that?
  2. There's not really a point to this thread is there?
  3. Incidentally, should you ever travel to India, grow a beard as fast as possible.. Moustache for the Hindi respect and full beard to garner the admiration of the Muslims.
  4. I was interested until I saw gameplay videos. It's a little too arcade'ish for me. I was hoping for a bleak, survival horror game, not some beat-em-up weapon combo mish-mash. I never really liked Dead Rising (why is it always "dead" something?) precisely because of the weird weapons. And as soon as I saw an electrified machete I was officially unimpressed.
  5. Spent the week in a beach house with 9 friends, we played games, drank a lot of beer and wine and smoked a lot of cigarettes. We were literally struck by a lightning storm the last day - about 30.000 lightning strikes hit within 200 km during that evening. One of those within 5m of the house (and more than a dozen within 100m) . The house was shaking like an earthquake and the light and thunder was so bright and loud that everyone seriously thought we were being bombed. Crazy ****, but pretty 'effin fun.
  6. Interesting.. I guess they are dedicated to making money the smart way after all. Who would've though.
  7. No, it was beautiful, had some interesting and more mature players that I imagine roam some of the more popular games. I played on an RP PVP server, which of course helped in regards to maturity. But while the community and the setting was extremely nice the gameplay was just sorta lacking, I completely lost interest in leveling because the grinding was so horrible. But I hate mmos exactly for that so call me jaded.
  8. Well, I played Planescape Torment recently and I was very pleasantly surprised. Of course I found a mod that made it work in 1920x1080, which helped a lot.. But I've also seen some good graphic mods for Deus Ex.
  9. Well it's Funcom and while I played and enjoyed Age of Conan for a while, they are not very good at keeping a persistent curve of excitement that keeps you playing. I hope they'll stop this mmo business and return to The Longest Journey series.
  10. I actually never played the original. Perhaps I should remedy that?
  11. I prescribe a pint of gin. I wish.. I'm stuck with cheap vodka, which I'm currently pouring down like there's no tomorrow - given the fact that my stomach started to complain. I foresee incoherent babbling in about 20 min.
  12. Icarus is seriously overused - of course I don't know enough about Greek mythology to actually get any other references, so in essence I guess I have myself and people like me to blame.
  13. Interesting.. It might not be good, but at least it's an interesting approach. Definitely on my radar.
  14. If the population is sufficiently low I actually think it would work very well.. A large population however and you've got Rapture.
  15. Drank a large glass of water.. then read online that Copenhagen's water supply is contaminated with E-Coli.. promptly drank a pint of Coca-Cola to remedy to situation.
  16. Yep it's dipped in a honey, cinnamon and flour paste and then deep fried. Thank you John Stewart for showing me just how disgusting they can be in Iowa.
  17. Stop drinking?
  18. How about deep frying a .
  19. Deep fried butter... topped with glaze.. my God.. I think I gained 8 pounds just looking at this.
  20. I'm happy the world is not like Risk or Hearts of Iron. Otherwise we would totally have been conquered for our spawn and victory points
  21. There's always someone stupid enough.
  22. I doubt they would want to "invade" Europe. Too expensive compared output.
  23. I wasn't, but I recognize it from here, we "standardized" our grades to be more in line with the European. Before you started and the lowest grade and had to prove and work your way up to the top. Now you start at the top and every mistake takes you down. The result of this is of course that the teachers are now practically teaching students how to get grades (ie avoid mistakes by coaching them during exams) rather the the subject. It's a big problem because now a lot more are coming out with very good grades, which in turn is inflating the whole education system. Before you only needed 3 years of college to get a decent job, now you need 5 and soon they say, 2 degrees. Which seems to be the same problem you have?
  24. I know exactly how you feel.
  25. I seem to remember that about 1 in 20 will experience headache (detrimental to the experience) with our current 3D tech, as in dual colour + glasses. If that's true I think companies can live with 5% not being able to use their product.
