BGE MMO? That's gonna be a no for me dawg -
Oh no... PoE2 got a "pass" by the elites because they are playing favorites. It has nothing to do with it being the first IP they own, that the first was successful, that they have practical time-tables they have to stick to in order to realistically bring out a product... QA and Budget are always in conflict, that doesn't mean the people balancing the two are themselves inept.

Let's play a game. You own a profitable construction company that builds houses. You find out your parents apartment has electrical issues and water leaking problems, the super refuses to fix them and wants to charge your parents for part of the costs to do it, claiming it was caused by their usage. You review their lease agreement, and it does have clauses stating if the property can prove the damage was due to renters they are not required to pay. Do you say .... Tough, deal with it on your own? Do you say.... get legal aid for your parents? Do you say.... go oh wait I own a profitable construction company why don't I just build my parents a new home and cover whatever fees this jerk is aiming at them? I hope you didn't pick option three you immoral piece of crap nepotist! Oh wait... that's only the most logical, humane, and decent option though? I guess nepotism isn't as simple as people thought. Unless you are suggesting you aren't actually going to pay your workers when they build the home? I wonder how much Feargus wife makes? Oh wait he doesn't know does he? Ok, so her pay could be deducted for Feargu's pay? Could be she makes almost nothing and simply gets a living wage to cover food/car? Could be she donates it all on behalf of her and her husband to her favorite charity? You don't know, do you? Speaking of charity, is there any charity work on the company expenses? Your not sure, you don't want to say? Hey that "unethical" stuff is actually unethical or is that just your opinion? Oh just your opinion, okay. Is it even illegal? Oh it isn't? Hey how much did that Eternity release party cost to celebrate Eternity 1 with the whole team? Oh that expense was okay, you needed a night of boozing and partying? I see. Anyone buying this guys crap deserves to choke on it, just please never get involved in business because I would hate to be one of your employees destined for failure and a lost job because you believe good business decisions are "unethical". And yet on corners of the internet they're are people loosing their skulls over Josh and his supposedly SJW team being preferentially treated by the managerial cabal of Obsidian or some utter ****. MCA has done a real disservices in bridging his issues in the manner that he has done.

GTA isn't a game your supposed to walk away emulating, you enjoy it for what it speaks to. The absurdity to the limits of the American dream. -

I never did buy GTAV, RDR was my last game from them, so I can imagine they've changed. Weren't those statements prior to the EA fiasco though? Loot boxes, preying on kids with gambling, and spending addiction is awful, but I think the industry is reeling that back now. I guess I didn't realize that GTAO became a full MMO though, I thought it was just drop in drop out co-op. The cease and desist makes sense when they are trying to monetize their own investment and mods are cutting into that, though I do prefer healthy modding communities so I'm torn between desire and realism. Maybe I'm still hoping for the best, but I'll vote with my wallet for RDR2's campaign and won't touch any of the microtransaction aspects of it if it has nay. As someone that wants RDR2 that's better than a straight out boycott. Ultimately I think we can blame the whales for the **** show that becomes many games these days. -
Shares can be voting shares. They can also be equity, and some equity shares can be diluted. Basically micro inflation.

What is an owner in this scenario? I usually hear about people being made partner.

I doubt it would for the main campaign. -

Perception is different than reality, I don't know why this keeps being stated without qualifiers.

Most of the great writing sots relied on editors and sobered revisions, the drink is basically a deal with the devil to exchange coherence for a prowess for prose. Not to speculate over the potential this was a drunken tirade, it's just as likely he was sleep deprived. Which causes equal doses of surrealism to seep into one's writing.

Aren't they saying we'd be the ones to disbelieve it This IS Obsidian's board. That's a fair expectation. But this board seems more apathetic about this subject than anything. I expected to wake up to a much larger thread, but apparently "Chris hates Obsidian" isn't as big a draw on this board as posting "Romance in PoE II". True & True

How what compares? Those two conflicting statements: 1. You don't need guns, police will protect you. 2. You cannot count on police to protect you. Where and who are each of those being said. It seems you're paraphrasing at best. The first I don't agree with in practice, a society share grant the right to bare arms. I also don't think protection should be left solely to the individual, but that's not the point I'm making. The second I'm only saying you can't count on the police to always come through, and having your policy hinge on them coming through is imprudent. There is no contradiction with what I'm saying.

In my personal experience, QA can't test my stuff if I haven't had time to put it in. QA is weird in the sense that good QA does a lot of good, but inexperienced QA tends to just push their job on the implementors.
