If someone would be interested in learning the history of Citizen Kane, studying up on William Randolph Hearst which the film is loosely(?) based would be a good start also there's a good HBO movie RKO 281 (1999) that charts the struggles Wells had to go through to get the film made. The movie involves 2 of the most important people of it's time period, thus it loses something with today's audience that are not familiar with the back history. It's fascinating to me at least.

Jack Palance FTW

So you are one of the 108 that gave it a 10. I remember seeing this flick at the theater and paying money to see it

The Bucket List (2007) - Decent if a little cheesy film about 2 men dying, worth it to see Nicholson and Freeman working together. Some decent laughs. No Country for Old Men (2007) - Still love this flick, although at the end it fails. "Lawrence of Arabia is an excellent film. It is a classic and, since I care more about entertainment than the history of filmmaking when I choose a film, I'll have to agree with Monte." What is this an either or? Choose or DIE! It's possible to like and be entertained by both films no? Citizen Kane is an excellent film if you don't think so good on you. Many people find Laserblast (1978) to be a great movie, who am I to say it aint.

The film itself is worth a view, but what Wells invented is just genius. The technical achievements in that film set the standard and are still relevant today, and to deny such is to not understand the history of film making.

Or wait until it's available for sale/rent on disk

The Indian Runner (1991) A compelling story about two brothers and their relationship. Great cast. Worth my time.

Regular TV with commercials? No thank you!
-
Tigerland (2000) - Basic training flick directed by Joel Schumacher, most likely his best work. Not bad.

Sissy Love this flick, can see where others find it boring, but quite frankly it deserves all it's accolades. Brilliant film!

Solyaris (1972) - Slooooooow paced sci-fi film that question man's place in the world blah, blah, blah, took me 3 nights to finish this 168 minute "masterpiece" all of the movie theme's have been done elsewhere and been done better. But it does feature the longest and most pointless driving sequence in film history if you find that entertaining. Skip it unless you have trouble sleeping at night.

The only games I have not finished are those that I do not like. If the game is good I'll play it until it's conclusion.

Don't be to sure, I think I turned em both off after about 15 minutes Tropic Thunder was a great movie. One of the three best of the year, along with Iron Man and Dark Knight. In a piss poor year for movies you might be right, except Tropic Thunder sucked ass. Watched the end of Black Sunday again, like it better this time, the special effects and editing in the end still leave something to be desired though.

Black Sunday (1977) - Terrorists plan on killing thousands at the Super Bowl. John Frankenheimer directed, starring the awesome dude Robert Shaw, John Williams excellent score, football... all equal a thrilling epic. Questionable special effects and some lackluster chases prevent this movie from being fantastic, but it a good film none the less. Still not sure how I feel about the ending. Recommended

"The only thing stronger than my faith is the fire I use to burn away those who stand against the will of the gods." At the dawn of time, the gods who inhabited the Astral Sea warred with the primordials of the Elemental Chaos, the mighty beings who shaped the world out of formless void. The greatest of the gods' mortal agents in that war were invokers, imbued with a fragment of the gods' own might to fight alongside them. No other mortal servant of the gods can claim the same kind of power. Through rites of investiture, avengers, clerics, and paladins gain the ability to manifest echoes of that power, uttering careful prayers and channeling divine energy through their holy symbols. You, however, channel your god's power directly. No mere symbol can contain it, for you speak the words of creation, shaping the universe to your and your god's will. Perhaps you were trained in a secret monastery, or you studied in a library where the universe's oldest lore was preserved. Or perhaps you experienced the presence of your god firsthand and took a shard of divine power into yourself. You might even be an immortal born into flesh, slowly awakening to the awesome divine power that is your birthright. Whatever your past, you are among the gods' most trusted servants, bound to a covenant in which you swore to use divine power with great care. To what end will you wield that might?

Curious. Where is the I'm sick of chick flicks, action films, westerns, dramas......? For a genre that has not been around that long and a relative small number of films (50 - 75) there seems to be some negative backlash the rest of the movie industry does not suffer from. I mean if I never see another horror flick I won't complain, but you won't hear me winning about there being too many. I don't get it.

Boo! There are so many untapped stories. More superheroes true to the source please. OT 10,000 BC (2008) 4.9 on IMBD, I enjoyed it for what it was an action/fantasy that kept me entertained. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) Illegal Tender (2007)- Deserving of it's 5.2 rating The Babysitters (2007) - Hot teenage girls are the only redeeming quality to this "film"

Only 2 days since release; already a new up to date roster, an edit for the strike zone (I prefer mine off) and some one already modded Wrigley Field. It will be a new game in a few weeks since it's pretty broken out the of box and 2K has stated no patch for the PC.
