Yeah ppl may feel comfortable working with percentages with d100. Dunno what happens if skills go over 100 either. Fixed ceiling on 100?
On the other hand why make numbers bigger when you can work with smaller numbers.
Option 2. Dealing with negative numbers is yuck for many people. Do you want a campaign where eventually the numbers are 1-10 and negative in some cases?
The groin shots were fun the first hour, but what I found really useful was shots to the legs. That seriously made super tough battles beatable for me. I'd hobble these melee creatures then keep running out of melee range and keep shooting at them.
