I flat-out disagree and what you said sounds like the opinion of somebody who reads a lot of warped coverage about Australia in the news, but has little actual exposure to the country. The fact that you referenced the failed Chinalco (owned by the Chinese government) bid to buy out entirey Australia's and the world's second largest resource miner fully affirms my feeling that you're talking **** (China is not Japan, Taiwan, or Korea - all countries which Australians like. China is a totalitarian state which shares none of our democratic liberal values, unlike Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, and has further shown disturbing aggression towards its aforementioned neighbours since its inception through to current times). Moreover, I want to point out the stark differences in tolerance and attitude to multiculturalism between the younger (18 to 30) generations and the older ones. Clearly given the overwhelming number of youth who strongly support multiculturalism and racial tolerance compared with their elders the general trend is going to be the opposite of your silly little prediction - an increasingly multicultural and tolerant Australia. And fewer idiot redneck bogans (please do NOT confuse the vocal minority with the silent majority!).

Hello Sammael. I would say a lot has changed. What are you doing these days?
-
Oh you feminist-brainwashed misguided fools. You don't get bored from ****ing many people. You get bored from ****ing the one and the same. I'm pretty sure plenty of feminists would agree with you.

It would be nice to play with other people in hardcore mode. That wasn't really possible in D2 if they weren't your friends. Yep, and in that sense I guess we here on Obsid make for a good pool of intelligent people to play with outside our real-life social circles!

The murder of dozens of children by some right-wing arsehole to make some evil point about multiculturalism is never justifiable, but it happened and that can't be changed, so it's heartening to see his acts having the exact opposite result to the one he intended. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-08-02/n...bor-surges.html

Why worry about one's budget? Take out a loan and your kids can pay off your debt!

Well you're being an arrogant **** and relying on amusing but irrelevant macros to pretend you have a point, so I would say: yes.

I don't know if this was sarcasm. I expect it from you but I can't see how it could be because Australia is an amazing place to study, live, and party right now and the issue that is most on people's minds is climate change and how to solve it - I think it says something quite positive about a society when the biggest political issue is something that has no short-term relevancy. And to prevent this post going off-topic I want to throw out a statistic about Australia: As of the 2006 census, about 50% of Australians were either born overseas or had one or both parents born overseas. I'm a quarter German myself. Multiculturalism is a beautiful thing and it makes for some really amazingly sexy women.

By Benjamin Ostebo. Lazy google translation. A big **** you to intolerance and violence. I really like it. May multiculturalism live on long after I am dead.

You are a loathsome individual.

It's disappointing but not surprising and it's probably also to try and beat the dupe black market much like iTunes has done with mp3s. Either way I'll enjoy myself and probably gravitate to playing with 'clean' players.

Does anybody here do materials science or physics or know much about electron microscopy? It seems to me that this is one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs of modern times. A few points: 1) It has a much better image quality than existing electron microscopes - obviously the main improvement people look for in new microscopy techniques, but in this case it's not terribly important because: 2) The resolution time for high-quality images has fallen from minutes to hours down to trillionths of a second. This means resolution time is no longer in any way a bottleneck to the speed at which fields using electron microscopy can progress. Waiting for the image to 'develop' has been completely eliminated. The benefits this will bring to materials science are hard to fathom, but productivity speed-ups of that magnitude seem a very rare thing in science. 3) This allows scientists to not just take high-quality stills of a surface but now they can actually take high-quality real-time video of the atomic world! Mind-blowing. http://www.abc.net.au/science/articles/201.../02/3283534.htm http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-08-cold-e...-materials.html

Not if you have access to MDMA.

As far as I can tell all the screenshots are from the final version of the game. There are two possibilities here. One: I'm wrong. Two: Reality is wrong. I know which I favor. There is actually a third possibility: reality changed.

Uhg, Boo, why is it you're always siding with racism and intolerance when these sorts of threads pop up?
-
Are you sure about that? It is part of your main Google account, so if you've got a Gmail account for example you can access Plus. Google business and brand pages are being rolled out at the end of the month, and full integration with things like search will happen probably this year. It is already integrated with at least Google Translate, Google hosted news articles (e.g. Associated Press), and Gmail. You can imagine YouTube integration isn't far off.

I take it somebody sorted you out? Interestingly Google+ has been adding something like 10 million users per week, an increasing number of them female users.

This. Also the Australian competition regulator (ACCC) has now pretty much blocked Murdoch's bid for the Austar cable/satellite/whatever TV company here on the grounds it would monopolise the market (Murdoch already owns the similar and only other competitor - Foxtel). -

So... does anybody want a Google+ account now? Google+ hit 10 million users a week ago. Now it is at 20 million. Google+ is 3 weeks old. (Obsidian devs: company pages roll out at the end of this month, I'd suggest you guys make one...)
