  1. Very similar to mine. I've yet to try it in Extreme, but I imagine it'd tear up, considering how well it was doing on normal and hard. Although mine has more backtracking. Or possibly an equal amount, upon closer inspection. The key for me is to put anything less than perfect gems around (but not in) the + intersection in the middle of your maze , whilst trying to build up for good combos. Then, once you've fully upgraded your gems, and are at about level 15/20, delete the rocks in the + intersection and plonk your gems down there, ensuring that you only choose gems you can eventually combine effectively (as well as lots of perfect amethysts - which need to be in the center of the + intersection). Always opt for a perfect opal if you see one come up, too (and unless I've already got a perfect opal in the area, I tend to dislike the perfect opal combo gem - the dmg aura one, as it's less effectively than an opal, tho it certainly stacks well with one... since opals don't stack). Now, let's see if I can remember how to build it. All that sun-baking and clubbing has left me brain a bit numb.
  2. I was actually thinking more as a player. I really enjoy my character being the source of cool stuff, and would gladly have seen even fewer magic items. The fact that the game is balanced to have characters given magic weapons of lesser bonuses at certain levels is alright, but I'd rather just not have magic weapons that boost stats. Agreed.
  3. Mmm, this strawberry milk is good. Silly redneck bogans trying to steal an archosaurs eggs.
  4. 4400 has ups and downs. I probably wouldn't recommend it, especially since it got cancelled at the end of season 4 (cliffhanger and completely untold story). I highly recommend: Chuck - a funny drama/comedy/spy series Burn Notice - like McGyver but more awesome The Big Bang Theory (a bunch of uni nerds try to become normal) - 20 min per ep comedy. Very good shows. Reaper is also a new one. Comedy I guess. You might like it.
  5. Trade you some ganja for tips. No? Oh well, I'll give you tips anyway: try to make the ground units enter your full maze, then leave your full maze at least once. The best way to do this is build your maze around some waypoints, but not others - meaning in order to get from point A to B they have to leave the maze, then probably re-enter it to get to C. Once you've done that, and you get to say level 15/20, focus on the middle of your maze at the + intersection. Towers here deal the most damage. Use the fact that you can click on a rock and click remove, and place down new towers here so the entire + area is flooded with towers - try to do it such that the towers you finally place at the + become combination towers. Final hint: zig-zag > columns/rows.
  6. Hahaha. It certainly makes me eat a lot, that's for sure.
  7. I do Inward Bound every year in Canberra (dropped in the bush at 2am, with endpoint coords given, and you figure out where you are based on straight line distance to endpoint, and landmarks nearby). Previously I've been in a 60km (we came first) and an 80km (we came 3rd) run. The 80km run was around the Snowy Mountains. So I spend about 3 months of the year getting ready of those. Otherwise I go for a 10km jog every day I'm not hungover and have a go at every second marathon run that comes up.
  8. I'm a marathon runner...
  9. *clap clap clap* Oh. This changes nothing. I'll find where you live, one way or another. You won't escape from me. I would've laughed too if the image wasn't posted by my mortal enemy. This avocado isn't ripe. It tastes funny when it isn't ripe.
  10. If America goes into recession it is unlikely to affect Australia widely. Recession is defined as two quarters of negative GDP growth, I think. Australian GDP growth given an America recession is estimated to fall to +2.75%. From a purely pragmatic perspective, however, I would prefer America remain a superpower, as they are Australia's biggest military ally. Y'know, given the "if you go to war, we must go to war with you" pact (ANZUS). It's why Australia joined in Iraq. I would much prefer it be America to Russia, the EU (so stagnant) or China.
  11. What're you laughing about? You're from Canberra, the butt of all jokes about our country. icwutudidther I'm not from Canberra, nor am I living there at the moment. I was laughing at the image because it is inherently funny.
  12. People complain about humidity here in summer and I'm like "what humidity?". I honestly think they're making it up, but I shall have to visit Brisbane to compare.
  13. That's a shame... I liked him as an actor. Which is saying a lot, because it's fairly hard for me to even remember the name of most stars. Acting in a movie doesn't usually get you awesome points in my books.
  14. Much as I hate SUV's, can we keep on topic rather than discussing how **** they are? And Xard: I know at least Norway and Denmark are feeling it.
  15. http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...907-664,00.html http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSSP15608620080121 The same is happening in Asia and the Middle East. I guess it's true that if America catches a cold, the rest of the world does too. Do you think America will go into recession? Which countries might it take with it? Could it become a global recession?
  16. http://ww2.beffo.se/upload/pic~/cdu4nyo20tk5.jpg Hahahahaha. I lol'd at that. Hard.
  17. Yeah I was thinking about that. Buddhism rocks. Hinduism seems pretty passive, too... though out of all mainstream religions, I would nominate Hinduism for making the least sense.
  18. Never underestimate the stupidity of religious fanatics. There is a good reason why sheep is often used as a metaphor in Christianity. Christians aren't that bad here. It would be much more accurate to apply that metaphor to Scientology and those who support Sharia law.
  19. NO, YOU CALM DOWN! CALM THE **** DOWN, NOW! Oh I was calm. I'm as composed as they come. Thanks. I'll download GIMP. Actually no, I won't. But thanks anyway for the thought/effort/whatever. I heart you. In a completely sexual free way. Oh man... I think I need more vitamin D.
  20. Haha. Calm down. Use this free image editing software if you don't have Adobe: http://www.gimp.org/windows/ I heart open source.
  21. Hahahahaha. Erm. *cough*. You need to use image editing software. I used adobe photoshop.
  22. Silent Hill. Wikipedia says most of the badassery is based off fear and I'm a pretty unfearing guy.
  23. Oh, nice. I tried it on easiest but it was way too easy. Not many towers, either. Shall try it on hard.
  24. Oooook. There's been some changes since the wc3 map, because I died on level 28 in surviver. It got to the stage where both air and land were both almost leaking, then air did. It's always air. Man, I thought it was a nice maze, too. It covered the entire map, had plenty of anti-air and I made the land units leave and enter it 3 different times in order to reach each waypoint. Maybe I should have had more combo gems (had malachite, star ruby and the anti-air one), but that's a 3 for one deal so I don't tend to like doing that.
