  1. True. I was also a fan of nanoblade attacks in their backs. In that case, I think your mouse skills need some have mods to be of any use. Seriously, silenced SMG = BEST GUN EVAR. One mouse click to their head and they go down without a sound.
  2. You are awesome.
  3. Eh, Combat in DX1 was very enjoyable and leagues above DX2's combat.
  4. You of all people think Obama is a lefty? I know it's hip and rad in America to call anybody not a Republican left-wing, but I was hoping you'd be able to avoid that sort of nonsense.
  5. Wow, what? And here I thought British chicks would be like Aussie chicks in this regard. Rserved? Yeah. Might want to opt for a beach (does Britain have those?) or something. Edit: Come to Australia and root a convict. I hear we're easy.

Good point, but people have pretty short memories when it comes to the media.
  7. Of course, it's losing 'security through obscurity' as it becomes more widely known, but it's still safer than IE purely by design. And it still renders pages more correctly. Eh, I'll switch to Chrome when it actually becomes available on Ubuntu and Mac. I'll seriously miss Firefox's "recently visited pages", "reopen closed tabs", and "bookmark all tabs" features, though.
  8. I tried to play it by taking it on its own value, it's still rubbish. Their attempts at a streamlined, more user-friendly interface ended up to be intrusive, convoluted, and I'm still not sure how it works. It's a giant circle that is planted around the center of the screen and has a slot-based inventory, except there are two "layers" of slots except you can only see the first layer unless you stop and open the full inventory, and all sorts of crazy garbage like that. You select from a circular menu, what's so hard about that? Ah, no, that's not the point at all. If you're not screwed when you run out of ammo, there's no point of having limited ammo. The point of universal ammo was so that it was up to you which gun you wanted to use in any situation, but more powerful weapons used a lot more ammo, so you weren't overpowered. I didn't have any of these problems, but then I played on the almighty Xbox. I thought the areas were pretty decent size, in fact about the same size as HL2, and loading was about the same. Also the areas although not terribly large were quite detailed. The gameplay was about siding with whomever, and having several options on how to do the mission. There is a bit of reputation actually, like the Illuminati will send Elite troopers after you if you don't do what they want. In any case, the game offered a lot more freedom than most. tl;dr: "DX2 was not crap!" Yes it was.
  9. Lieberman is one of the most liberal Democrats around. He certainly won't vote against the administration on anything but foreign policy (he's extremely hawkish). Specter is a health nut (it saved his life - cancer), and is all for extra health funding and research, so I imagine he'd also be for better health insurance.
  10. Link me and I'll probably read it when I get bored later today. I dunno about Britian. I'm assuming their system is similar enough to ours. Perhaps wrongly? Ours is certainly about 30 years younger than theirs. But I figure that considering half of Australians have private healthcare insurance, that's a fairly vibrant private market. Or did you have something else in mind when you said a mix of private and public healthcare?

Indeed. Both Mexico and America reacted far too sluggishly to this threat. The WHO moved it to Phase 4, which is effectively an admission that border control is now useless and impossible. The WHO just moved the threat to Phase 5 (significant outbreaks in multiple countries), which is one level below full-blown pandemic. http://science.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid...7&art_pos=1
  13. I just figured out my speed too accurately so now I'm lost.
  14. Oh man, I'm replaying Divine Divinity now and the music is effing superb. So very glad the same guy is doing the music for DD2.
  15. Lies. Yes, but this is a 3D caves. With spies. In fact, it's probably a 3D spy-cave full of crates for you to hide behind during an intense spy fire-fight.
  16. What's so bad about IE? I am not some sort of "advanced user", so for me it's an ease of use issue - the 'ease' of IE being that it is already on my computer and I am already used to it. Barring auto-archiving, it does most things I want it to do, so why switch? The number one reason would be that it's not secure. Another would be that it doesn't render a lot of pages correctly.
  17. I certainly care. It pains me when I hear about such stories. I certainly try not to think about them too much because I can't do anything to fix them, but I care. So when it comes down to a choice between doing something, or supporting those who can, and not giving a flying **** like you, guess which I choose? Once I've finished my degree I plan to spend at least a year overseas doing aid work (South America most likely). Where do aid workers fit into your self-centred worldview? Do they all have some secret ulterior motive for risking their lives to help people they don't even know, because they couldn't possibly actually care about those people?

Do your otters do the shimmy? Do they like to shake their tails? Do your wombats sleep in tophats? Is your garden full of snails?
  19. I want the pistol with exploding bullets that was in NOLF1. Please!
  20. How can you not have heard of spelunking? And I second awesomeness's motion. Spelunking is a must.

The US has already admitted it acted too slowly to the outbreak, and the WHO has voiced similar concerns. Yes, but the WHO won't get fooled again. Hahahaha,
  22. Thanks for demonstrating your immense ignorance of the situation in Afghanistan. Oh, like you really care about Afghanistans well being? Is it so surprising that not everybody is as callous and selfish as you?
  23. Was DX2 really as bad as I keep on hearing it was? It was a crappy shooter and an even crappier RPG. It had nothing really going for it, but it was fun to play for the couple of hours it lasted.
