  1. It's always something of a novelty when we get to meet those extremely rare individuals who actually enjoy God of War button-mashing, QTE-fests and loud-and-lame animation and sound effects. Don't forget to take screenies! ;)

Have never played GoW but I immensely enjoyed DMC3,4,5, with the third being the best out of the bunch. Damn that game was hard as balls.

  2. So how the hell the discussion has been over  3 threads already?...Oby's been here hasn't he/she?

That is pretty much why I said rename the thread. Yes it is about Ukraine but the discussion tangents a lot in to other conflicts around the world as people make comparisons. I mean half of the previous thread was about, what is modern warfare and what are the military capabilities of the US and Russia and then that tangents in to what are their economic capabilities, which it self leads to what type of economy does the US have vs what type Russia has. Yeah all that isn't about Ukraine, but it is important in understanding why no one is willing to directly help them.

  3. Yes it reminded me of Deathtrap Dungeon and the early Tomb Raider so I played it for about an hour and gave up. May come back to it though

I put more time in to it, because everyone was saying how hard it is and I didn't wanna give up right away. Finished the first part of it and made it back to the bonfire you start at(after the two bosses on the roof), and then went down to the area with the ghosts, I just couldn't make my self play more of it. What it came down to is that you either had to roll and backstab to defeat enemies, or you had to learn the timings of the parries, that wasn't fun at all for me, especially with those commands.

It just felt like an unpolished game to me.

  4. On a related note, however, I'd like there to be fewer armour drops - particularly with plate armour. I never liked the idea that you can kill a dwarf, take his +2 Harness of Dwarvishness, and put it on your elf (because it'll fit him perfectly of course!! :D ). At the very least, a harness worn by a dwarf should only fit dwarves.

Lol, so that is where you draw the line? XD

  5. Woot!  I won our family wide egg battle with my pink egg.  You don't mess with the pink egg.

    Happy Easter everybody!

Got up on the wrong side of the bed today, didn't get sleep pissed off my folks, and got crushed in the only egg battle I had. Swell day, my own fault entirely, but still a swell day.

And this is my birthday this year.

Happy Birthday, may your eggs crush all your enemies.(sound's much better in Serbian :/ (balls=eggs here))

  6. I doubt it, I gather that every piece of magical loot will have a story background, some (most?) of which was submitted by the backers. That, in my mind, excludes any possibility of random loot generation. There is a charm to hand placed loot, it has much more personality and it's somehow much...hmmm...not better, but significant then random generated stuff.

  7. Is it as broken in multiplayer as it is in single player?

I got the game a while ago but I was turned off by the UI so I never bothered to learn it properly.

The muliplauyer is ok, as far as I heard. The main issues with the game is no unit stacking and the AI. Though I play CIV more like a building game, like Caesar and Pharaoh. Man someone should kickstart a game like those, so much fun.

  8. I saw Evangelion 3 yesterday. I didn't like it. It felt like nothing happened except that they changed the setting. And in changing the setting, they seem to have dropped stuff they were building up to in 2.

Like they got bored with what they were doing and decided to smash it all. And then we have a movie that deals with only introducing us to something they'd rather do and not even make any progress with that.

Told you. I'm still reserving my judgment until I watch part 4. Maybe they got something planned and it will make sense in the end. Though there are pretty interesting theories that it was all foreshadowed in the original series and that in fact these 4 movies are a sequel.

  9. Given that the United States has been at war for the past 13 years, you can see for yourself.

Also, Vals, I don't consider looking at things expertise, otherwise I'd be a ****ing mountain geologist. Nothing replaces hard numbers and those are quite in favour of the U.S. Of course, that requires doing some research.

Heh, if you think that is war, well I have bad news for you. It's seems that you and I are not on the same page scale wise.

  10. You do realize that the United States has the second largest manufacturing industry in the world, right? Differing from China's by a small percentage? Christ, you're not even looking up concrete data, are you, Sarex? The U.S. has been consistently developing its sector for the past forty years.

The fact that some manufacturers have outsourced low complexity, cheap item manufacturing overseas doesn't mean that the U.S. has dismantled its manufacturing sector. As the statistics show, it did not. Neither did it dismantle its strategic military industries, such as tank plants, fighter assembly lines, shipyards, and other vital industrial centers.

I think you are mistaking assembly for manufacturing. As for military production yes they have facilities but do they have the numbers for mass producing to supplement war losses, that is what I doubt.
