  1. Hey Obsidian, you give us bigger better and more beautiful paperdolls for our character screen. And you create adorable animal companion animations. So if I play a ranger will I be able to admire both at the same time? Are the animal companions in my character screen? Seem only natural to me... Anyway while I have not followed as closely as the first time, I really love how the game is looking.
  2. - modal toggle: stay/follow enemy I would like a modal combat ability, that tells my character to stay putor follow the enemy. E.g. my fighter is blocking 2 or 3 enemies while my wizard deals damage to them. The enemy my fighter is currently attacking starts running at my wizard. the fighter follows and everyone else as well... Now every enemy is attacking the wizard. The wizard dies. However the modal would tell the fighter to stay and simply attack the next enemy, so only 1 enemy is running at the wizard. - practice dummies with combat data I would also like to see some practice dummies (maybe at the stronghold) put to use. Each dummy has a different DR. I could attack them for 20 seconds and get some combat data telling me how many attacks or how much damage the character dealt. I could use this to choose my gear, since currently the attack speeds (fast, average, slow) are not very helpful when combined with armor.
  3. I really hope they don't use a licensed IP. In the past they always talked about all those different ideas. They should use those instead. They even had some canceled games. While the artwork etc. belongs to the publishers, most settings/quests could be reused. I would love to see Obsidian's take on a (survival-) horror game (see seven dwarfs, alien crucible).
  4. IWD2 had an iron golem that was immune against low-level weapons. BG2 also had some golems, but I don't remember their requirements. Fighting against them might be possible without a combat log on low difficulty. On higher settings especially in IWD2-HOF-mode I don't want to miss it. PE might not have immune enemies but in HOF-mode I definitely want to have a combat log.
  5. While I like the flexibility this system provides, creating a Deep Gnome Monk(5)/Rogue(1)/Dreadmaster of Bane(12)/Conjurer(12) in IWD2 makes me question it nevertheless.
  6. I really like this idea. You could even send party members, that are not in your current party to do some sort of side mission. A good relationship improves the information, a bad one gives only standard or even false information. The background and class of said character might have an influence as well.
