  1. In the MLS, a new CBA was negotiated last year but was never ratified. Discussions continue, with the possibility of a player lockout. MLS Players' Association won't strike, but dispute commissioner's CBA claims Supposedly the league lost $725 million last year due to the pandemic, and is looking at similar losses this year.

  3. Well, if this news story is to be believed, the guy who exposed the 570 doses of the Moderna vaccine in Wisconsin is a tad... eccentric: Wisconsin Vaccine Saboteur Steven Brandenburg Is a Flat-Earther, FBI Document Reveals How on Earth did this guy ever become a "pharmacy technician"? Is there a mail-order diploma or something?
  4. Unfortunately it's not even funny.
  5. It does look that way. I mean they're both decent starting QBs, so did they really need to give up all those draft picks? Then again, as a Seahawks fan, my response is more like aha-ha-ha-hah!
  6. It doesn't require actual fusion; just the magnetic fields already used for containment. I'm not sure how practical it is mass-wise though.

  13. There's no perfect economic system... yet. We keep switching between the two general forms we know, only to rediscover their individual flaws. So it goes.
  14. Looks like Rudy will need to start his own gofundme web site.
  15. They complain about the First world nations monopolizing the vaccines, but there are some issues with that. Namely, the production rate and the delivery. They will need to ramp up production significantly in order to get enough shots in arms. Plus the initial batch have strict temperature requirements that will be hard to satisfy in many parts of the world. It may require something like the J&J vaccine with multiple production sites before we can start en masse injections. As it is, I don't feel too guilty about the First World hogging the vaccine. Without First World resources, expertise, and investment, a vaccine wouldn't have been ready for 2-3 years. Being the early beneficiaries also encourages investment in new vaccination technologies, which ultimately benefits everybody.
  16. Growing your own fruits and veggies is worth it for the flavor alone.
