fun fact someone found the original script of the first Star Wars movie and the script stated clearly that Han shot first. there never had been any intention to have Greedo shoot and the scene was filmed accordingly, despite what Lucas keeps saying that Greedo shot but it was not visible in the original release because "reasons" when it would have been very easy to make the scene had the script said so.

here's some spoilers: there is a lightsaber duel in the snow the milenium falcon crashes and Finn kills a stormtrooper with his lightsaber btw i heard a nice one in an interview of Mark Hamil: in the first draft of the script to episode V the big revelation was supposed to be that Kenobi killed Luke's father, but then they changed it in Vader being the father

here's some info i just got by a guy who works on the subtitling of the movie for my country's cinemas (and by extend he already saw it) It's a good movie, but it's not star wars enough for a hardcore fan like himself...

aiming for the opponent's weapon is often a more viable way to win a duel than aiming for the opponent himself. the right hit on his sword can break his balance and guard giving an opening for a kill strike. as my tae kwon do teacher used to say "attack your opponent's attack with your first strike, and his head will be free for a bashing with the next". this concept works on all types of armed or unarmed melee combat

first off it is a lightsaber so the power of the swing does not really matter if it hits. secondly, in real sword fights people use light, compact and fast attacks that dont leave them open to counters, unless they have a clean shot for the kill. what he does there is a very common fencing opening move where you keep the sword close to your body while you swing in order to be ready to parry in case of a counter attempt... also serves as a test attack to see how your opponent will react to it so you can gauge his aggressiveness. btw did you notice at 1:39? the guard at the hilt protects the hand from the beam, but on the upper side the metal part is open and the beam is visible (and connected to the central beam of the sword)

i often notice black pixels appear on my screen out of nowhere, especially when i play war thunder... most of the time its dirt that goes away with a very light pass of a cloth on the spot. however i do have 2 burned pixels and one spot where the surface has a bump because of an unwiped drop of spit left after a sneeze

i saw a nightmare tonight: that i was watching SW VII and it was a reboot
-
most of the sales were day one or preorders, before anyone had the chance to play and review it
-
Han shot in self defence and that much is obvious to anyone with more than 1 brain cell. Lucas just wanted to make the scene retard-proof

already played shadow warrior... waiting for the sequel

a few weeks ago i got the entire painkiller series for 5 euro on steam. i had played the first long ago but none of the rest. the first was as fun as i remembered it the battle out of hell expansion had a distinct drop in quality overdose was good, but way too many invisible walls resurection had the interesting idea of open enviroments but it was WAAAAY too buggy. i even had to drop it because at the 4th level, as soon as the game started, the character would fall out of the map so there was no way to proceed redemption (currently playing) is almost a chore... all maps are made of consecutive small rooms with about 100-150 (sometimes even 200) enemies spawning in waves and not a bit of originality on the design lets hope it gets better in the next 2 games

He's the worst Jedi... i. Weak Force Sense Obi-Wan Kenobi: I have a bad feeling about this. Qui-Gon Jinn: I don't sense anything. ii. Can't defeat two droids (and before that failed to open the door) Qui Gon Jinn : We cannot defeat these droids, we must escape! iii. Failed Jedi Mind Trick on a random merchant Qui-Gon Jinn: I have 20,000 republic dataries... Watto: Republic credits? Republic credits are no use out here. I need something different, something more real... Qui-Gon: I don't have anything else, but credits will do fine. [waves his hand, attempting to use the Jedi mind trick] Watto: No, they won'ta. Qui-Gon: Credits will do fine. [tries the mind trick again] Watto: No, they won'ta! What, you think you're some kind of Jedi, waving your hand around like that? I'm a Toydarian. Mind tricks won't work on me; only money. No money! No parts! No deal! And no one else has a T-14 hyperdrive, I promise you that. iv. He's the reason for everything happened in Episode 1 to 6 Qui-Gon Jinn : Finding him was the will of the force, I have no doubt of that. Jedis can sense the future, surely he can see what Anakin would become, Yoda have sense it, everyone sense it, but he don't, like the first point he have a weak Jedi sense. Finding the boy lead to the fall of Jedi Order and the Republic... Oh yes, he's the one who found Jar-Jar Binks, and that lead to the authroization by the Senate for the creation of clone army in which lead to the fall of Republic... yes, but jar jar is a sith and could be using his powers to dull Qui Gon's senses... he is always around Qui Gon since the start of the movie

the sad truth about how messed up USA is

from a real swordfighting point of view, the fights in the original trilogy were much more similar to a real swordfight (while a little clumsy at times) than the spectacular style of the prequels that wastes a ton of time and energy on useless moves that leave their guard open constantly.

if it escalates, our children will be playing fallout for real. better make sure that all games of the series are available for them to practice on also, this is why i say that im not sorry for the french. they were directly involved in the wars that created ISIS (even started one of them) and they fed ISIS with weapons when they were still posing as "rebels against the evil dictator Asad". besides, think of how many innocent people are killed over there every day... did anyone ever gave a F about them? did the entire world cried in indignation when ISIS executed an entire town? NO! but everyone lost their minds when a bunch of innocent french people got killed and let me tell you why: most people care about the french victims as much as they care about the syrians; what they care about is that ISIS has proven that cannot be controled or contained in that remote corner of the world that does not affect the rest of us.
